I have the weirdest experience with this game, but I know I’d never love it as much as I do now if none of it ever happened. I remember vividly when I was eight or nine, my family and I were camping in the badlands. Sitting at the fire with the full moon glistening through the trees, my older sister told me all about this amazing game called “Wynncraft.” And as soon as we got home, that’s exactly what we did.
And man, was it awful. Being nine years old, I was scared of everything and dyed over and over again and nothing made sense. Having my sister with me helped a lot, but slowly but surely she leveled up and I just couldn’t keep up, and in the end we were both kicked off the game because, though I somehow managed to make it to level 60, I cried every time I played because my sister was doing all the fun stuff in the CoTL and Molten heights that I could’ve been doing with her if she had just waited a little longer for me. We played Minecraft for a long time before we ever came back. And to be honest, we only came back about last year, starting from the beginning. But during that time away from the game, I remembered some of the songs I liked and wondered what updates had happened. I went back to the Wiki, listened to the OST’s that brought me way back and was hooked all over again. All in all, I became a lore and quest guru way before ever actually playing the game. But I know now nothing could ever have prepared me for actually playing again. And I’m not saying it was terrible- IT WAS INCREDIBLE!
Imagine reading all your history books and museums, watching historical movies and all that, but always feeling sad you’ll never get to see it in person. THAT'S WHAT IT FELT LIKE! I finally got to experience everything in person, my older encounter with the game long forgotten.
So now I’m level 98, both my sister and I still have yet to visit the Silent Expanse for the first time ever.
So there’s my epic tale- sorry for that being so long XD but thank you if you read all of it!

I joined back in 2013, July 8th to be exact, one day after CraftedMovie uploaded the first official trailer for Wynn. I was a fan of open world games, so decided to try it out. I remember quests being added a few weeks after I joined, and then the ocean getting a revamp. Thinking back at it, the game had barely anything to offer, but it was a fresh take on Minecraft. I remember getting my first class to the level cap so many times. Once to 70, and then 75 and so on, each time being amazed that the level cap increased. Been playing on and off with like a few months break in between each time. So many memories from early years... Grinding at the silverfish pit in the old desert, pig-puck, buying VIP and finally entering VIP-town just to see there was noting really of value there...

I used to play on this vanilla server called LegitLand when I was younger, and one of the first friends I made on that server was someone who's still around, I think! (Sorry for the ping, @Sprite, but it's definitely been a while, huh?). He mentioned offhand this MMORPG he was playing on as of late, and after I spent an embarrassingly long time thinking it was a standalone game I joined circa 2014-ish.

The mage I picked back then is still my main, and through guild and thin the server's been around for all of it. I don't really remember too much from thereadays, but Lord of the Clock was and still is my favorite quest, removed or not. I might have been a bit undergeared for it, or it might have just been the epic scope of the old Mt. Wynn build, but the grind down into the heart of the mountain that first time is maybe one of the best experiences I've had in gaming. God, old Wynn was fun, but I'm pretty sure that's just because I had no idea what was going on. The modern game's better in every way, though, and I'm happy to think of how much that feeling must be magnified for new players nowadays.

I was introduced to Wynn by a random small YTer back then and... yeah, I just played it for about 2 years. Got to level 100 as a mage and did almost every quest back then when max level was 101 and I was determined to go for a full playthrough when professions launched... except that I stopped in the mid 60s. I'm now planning om coming back to Wynn and doing exactly that (probably as an Assassin though... or maybe an archetype that has average mobility, good AoE and has ways of dealing decent, non-poison damage over time) except that I'll keep my professions (except a consumable one because I like them, lol) at around 50 to grind them out later if I feel like they're getting boring.

in like spring 2018 I believe (wow hermitcraft 6 went for a long time) that was when Grian first advertised it, then I found Tuartis's series with Grian and Sam a few months later and wanted to play, at that point I really only played Minecraft bedrock edition, but one day I just thought "wait a minute, I have java edition on my computer, I can just join wynncraft.".
That was around the start of 2019, maybe a weeks before, which actually means I've been playing for more than 3 years now wow.

My most memorable experience in wynncraft is probably the first time I beat Witherhead, I hadn't really played any games other than minecraft itself and that was usually in creative mode, I'd never played on RPG before, so I really kind of sucked. I died to Witherhead the first and second time I think, and on the third try I ran out of pots when she was at like 50% hp and was at about ~10% hp the rest of the fight, but I beat her, so that felt good.
Some other things would be, going through The Passage for the first time and realizing it wasn't a teleporter (idk why I got such a kick out of that), trying to fight Death with a TWA Chakram build and dying to him like 20 times but it was fun, and trying to fight Rymek Luke with only Wybel Paw + at-level nspell/poison items.

I originally joined Wynn because my friend Sam in 6th grade told me to join, so I did.

I didn't stick to it, I quit after my first day. I rejoined a year or two after, and stuck with it then because I had never played another game besides MC so I hadn't experienced an MMORPG before. This was my first.

No games quite scratch the itch, although I also don't play many games. I have always just bounced around between Minecraft servers.
