Why the Chest Count api was removed (to the best of my knowledge)

I've seen several posts and many, many comments about organized lootrunning being the reason. What I don't think you realize is that the reason wasn't the Lootrunner's Guild bot.

The way that bot works is participating members will log a run they are trying to loot, on a specific world. This is letting other players know that area has been looted in so many hours

Why it was removed was because someone or a group of someone's was using a bot to count the chests on the public api to "spy" on people trying to loot worlds. Even those not participating in the guild.

It gives an unfair advantage over everyone, and was thus removed.

Organized lootrunning is not to blame here, it's a bot most players do not have access to

Geniune question: So how does the chest counter removal counter that?
