Matryoshka Shell: Powders not working?

I recently obtained the Matryoshka Shell (chestplate) which allows for 18 powders to be placed into it. Although, my resulting elemental defenses listed under my total defenses don't show any change whatsoever after equipping powders onto this item. Is it that the added elemental defense bonuses are not listed there for some reason but still apply, or does that mean that they are not being applied if they don't reflect in the totals? Not sure if this is a possible bug linked to this item specifically or any others as well. Let me know if that is the case and if there's any known solution to such issue.

 

The compass menu in no way provides any sort of helpful, accurate, or insightful data. I once heard Sensei Miyagi talking to himself about the compass menu. As far as my memory goes, let me recall what he said; "The compass menu is trash, who even uses it anyway for anything but skill points these days. Calculation by hand is by far the best way, once you have mastered the formulas and know all the bugs and intricacies, however, other sensei have tools for grasshoppers to use, called "wynndata" or "wynnbuilder" The compass is trash, Wynndata is as accurate as a car's speedometer, and Wynnbuilder looks like someone took a ruler and made it into a web tool. Paper is the only way, compass is trash." I'm not sure exactly what he meant when he said all that, so I wrote it down hoping to ask someone. All I know is that the compass menu in no way provides any sort of helpful, accurate, or insightful data.

 

Thanks for the reply, I'm having a hard time telling how much of that is sarcasm or not, but I'm hoping you're right. I'll check out the tools you mentioned as well, so I appreciate that info as well. Just took a look and they look legit and like they'll be useful for what I'm trying to calculate and test, so I'll see how it goes! Also nice Rickroll lol.
