how to play melee without immediately dying?

So, Basically,
im trying to beat Qira, but always die before I finish.
how do i not die?

qira is meant to be beaten at levels 95-100, so thats probably why

not dying does have a large part on build. One thing to note with qira is that she deals some of every element, which basically means if you have a positive elemental defence, you'll take exactly that much less damage in that element, and if you have negative elemental defence, you'll take that much more damage each time she hits you. What that means is that each time she hits you, is that you're taking about 200 extra hp, all totalled up, on top of her base 3.5k damage per hit. Your skill points in defense bring that to 1.4k damage taken per hit. That means you die in 10 hits. Your health regen and life steal mean that you're only going to regenerate that health over ~5 seconds. What's mire the best case scenario for walk speed is -10%, which means toy can't dodge hits or run away, and your mana isn't the best either, so you're going to be fighting over whether you should heal or teleport away (but if you teleport away you're going to stop gaining most mana)

So basically, your build could defeat qira, but it would take a lot of concentration, a bit of luck, and maybe a few tries.

So to answer your question: "How do I not die?"

As a mage fighting qira, you basically have 2 options: You're not going to be able to outdps her, so you either outheal her or outrun her. In terms of a heavy melee build, you're not really going to get one better than the one you built: here was my best try. Mage is not really made for melee, especially at lvl 90, so if you wanted to beat her as you are now, I'd recommend grabbing whatever spell gear you've got with some statues, and outhealing, or the overrated, overused, overreccommended morph set with a blue mask, because the sad truth is is that it works.

Alternatively, you could do that "health potion" thing that those other classes do, and skill pots would help your melee build massively. It's definitely possible.
Another option is starting a party listed on partyfinder as "help me with qira fight" or something like that, there's always a few veterans checking the party finder ready to help.
