Class request

What's the best class for beginners? I first was told to choose mage bcs of the heal spell, but it has awful damage and health.

Mage does have a rocky start, but becomes imo one of the most solid classes. Also, confused as you what you mean by awful health, since health is entirely dependant on your equipment. Mage does get a slight base defense decrease, but Archer and Shaman are worse in that department, and mages have a heal button.

I would say the most beginner friendly class (depending on playstyle) is either Archer or Warrior. Archer has the advantage of range, while Warrior has natural beefiness. Both are easy to understand and get into a flow with, with Warrior having a higher skill ceiling by endgame and Archer having arguably the most single-target boss killing prowess in the game.

While I'm at it, I might as well explain the others 3 and why they weren't chosen; Shaman is entirely too fragile, as well as having an odd set of quirks that may put a new player off, while Assassin does have incredible potential, you don't really reach that until later stages on top of requiring a bit of a more deft hand to utilize said potential properly, so I generally advise to get a bit of experience with other classes first. Mage, again, does become very solid, it moreso thrives on sustain rather than killing stuff as fast as possible, so many people consider it boring or even unviable. While I don't entirely agree with this sentiment, I can see where it comes from. And, as mentioned, it does have a rocky start with your basic attack being your only form of damage until level 21, and even then Meteor is still slow until a later upgrade.

 

Thx a lot. And a thing I it lacks at mage is damage. I think I'll take warrior.

At the early stages of the game, whatever you pick up.

 

Honestly if you are having fun with another class over the other you should play that class. The best class for you is the one that you have fun with the most.
