I predict that the next time we see Lari, which will be in Dern, she'll either be in a prison we have to break her out of, or she'll be trying out a genocide run on the monsters in Dern lmao

Far, far more likely is that she'll be a corpse, like Elphaba, or will have been twisted into the image of Dern, like Lucio being warped into an Obsessor. With how hostile and mind-shattering the Silent Expanse was, it's not hard to assume the unmatched power of Dern couldn't be handled by even Orphion himself. After all, the tipping of the scales has not been in the light's favor.

 

Image her body twisted and mangled into a shambling monster of some sort, kinda like the Thing, but bigger, and with elf ears.

 

Story-wise, I’m not sure a character that just went through so much development through the ROL quests would die so quickly. My theory is that the player will see her, in hiding, in Dern to guide them through the realm to the Dern Beast’s location.

 

That's what I could imagine happening to her:

 

It's to display the horrifying imbalance of the two realms. This character is capable of going through development, of being powerful enough to face the figurehead of corruption, but even such a powerful flame can be extinguished in an instant. Similar story with Aledar, Elphaba, and Lucio : perhaps burning brighter only makes you a beacon for which darkness to find you and smother you to ash.

Being honest, I really don't want more Lari, especially in Dern.

First off, I hate Lari, roughly over half of people who've got through her quest do hate her, so maybe not the best idea to bring her back.

Second off, it's Dern, the place is meant to be unsettling and off, bringing back a familiar face would be comforting to players.
