I often see this chara on the forums so i wanted to give a go to my interpretation of it :)

Spoiler: lari spoilers people may want to avoid

lari is basically an elf gifted with the powers of orphions light (orphion is the beast of light, basically the force of nature given a voice and form) to defend gavel against the dark's attacks. shes very pacifist to a fault and tries time and time again to find a way to stop the decay without violence, even if the violence is against an otherworldly parasitic creature that is causing death and famine to a good chunk of the province. throughout the RoL questline she bumps heads with the player a lot for their tendency to fight, but she eventually realizes that sometimes, for the greater good, you have to compromise on your morals. after a long bit. RoL is five quests long but its personally up there as one of my favorite questlines, length be damned. but i digress lol.
