Before 1.20 I would’ve said Wynn hands down. But now that Gavel is more or less complete, idk which one to really say. If it wasn’t for the Silent Expanse, I’d pick Gavel.

I'd say Gavel, because of the wide variety of terrain and landscape, as well as the huge level span that it covers. The builds look great, quests are great, and I don't know what else to say. However, Wynn and Corkus are both equally amazing in their own right, such as the Corkus terrain and the fact that I found a discoverer there with like 20 lb and no lq. Wynn is full of nostalgia and memories, from walking down the Emerald Trail for the first time, getting to Detlas, or even navigating the jungle and getting to Troms. Then there's the Silent Expanse. Terrain is wonderfully built, quests are excellent, and it offers a lot of endgame content.

    Wynn

    Pros:
    - Gives nostalgic feel to it (ignore the fact that I've only been playing since 1.20)
    - Very easy to navigate and memorize locations
    - Tons of memorable quests in late game Troms
    - Silent Expanse

    Cons:
    - Most quests early on aren't very interesting
    - Towns are meh looking in my opinion
    - Many of the quests and secret discoveries involving things like Bob haven't aged too well

    Gavel

    Pros:
    - Towns are way better looking than in Wynn
    - Most of the areas are much better looking and more interesting than Wynn
    - Some of the best quests in the game
    - Raids

    Cons:
    - Lazy corrupted dungeons
    - 3 forest areas in a row
    - 3 areas that are a pain in the ass to navigate in a row
    - Some of the absolute shittiest quests in the game
    - lari

If Corkus was one of the options, i would pick it 100%.
But out of these two it would have to be Gavel

I’d have to go gavel cause it has some of my favorite areas (like I really love ahmsord for some reason) and the quests from 90-100 I really really liked
Plus the area just has nicer looking stuff imo and it has raids there
But Wynn is very close bc the silent expanse exists

    Wynn.

Both areas are equal in builds, both have some standout quests and some very bad quests, both have nostalgia factors for me, and both have excellent secret discoveries.

But for me in the end, Wynn just feels more complete if you're playing it from level 1-75. You start out as a recruit hoping to make a difference in a war against the corruption. Along the way you learn about Bob and various other figures in the province's history, most of whom are elaborated on more in dungeons, dungeon quests, and maybe even secret discoveries. By the end of your journey you've taken down two antagonists in Amadel (sure you go to the ocean briefly in his questline but let's ignore that) and the Corrupter of Worlds, and you might have some resolution to the Bob story, who knows. And this is all ignoring the Silent Expanse too btw, if you tack that on Wynn now has a great boss fight, some more great quests and the most atmospheric areas in the game.

Gavel on the other hand? It kinda just feels like you screw around and every few levels learn more about the war between light and dark, and the decay, which feels like really the only story from level 40-80 there. Yeah I guess there are orcs too? and the iron golem thing? But those don't feel nearly as built up as something like Theorick's downfall or the fate of the Almuj desert. Once you beat RoL at 80 (which feels like the intended level lore-wise even if it might not be feasible gameplay wise), you kinda just... do sidequests. Sure there's stuff like the colossus and war between dwarves and doguns but those feel so isolated compared to Wynn's overall war against the corruption plotline.

In the end though this is just my opinion and probably just a really strange way of comparing the two provinces.
(and going off this criteria also, Corkus beats out both of them)
