SPOILER THEORY: Lutho is a town in Gavel

This is my first theory so it may have many loopholes.

You know how there is a monolith that exudes Gavellian Magic in Lutho, and how in Point of no Return there was that reality of Lutho where all the souls of the citizens reside? I think the version of Lutho that is in A point of no Return is an alternate version of Lutho mirrored into an alternate Gavel by the monument as an opposite of this reality, this can make sense because, first Gavel is a gateway in to the Realm of Light and the Opposite is the Silent Expanse which is a gateway into Dern which is the Realm of Darkness. Second the monument is either of Gavellian origin or imbued by Gavellian magic. This is all, if anybody has anything to contribute or say I'm happy to hear it!

 

I think what Aledar meant when he said the monument reminded him of his time in Gavel was that it had a connection with the light, and Gavel where most of the light in the physical world is. As well, the obelisk has Wynnic on it, which doesn't make sense if it's in Gavel. Plus, the silent expanse is a darkness overrun area of Wynn.

 

The words inscribed on Lutho monolith are Ancient Wynnic Rune so I think this magic originates from Olmic magic.

Wouldn't that mean that Happy Lutho is, rather, a town in Not-Gavel? The Silent Expanse is, according to you, opposite to Gavel, so anything in the Silent Expanse should also be opposite to Gavel.

Also: what is Gavellian magic? Is it "Villager" magic (according to Skien), your standard vanilla spells, Teleport, Flamethrower, etc ? Is it runic magic, of the Llevigar axes and the Forgery? Is it elf magic, healing and nature, as demonstrated by Dullahan? Is it the influence of Light; Lari's magic? Is it cosmic magic, that of Gylia Lake and the meteors of the Brothers? Is it Colossal magic (which may or may not be related to the ancient civilization)? Is it the air magic of the Bantistu Monks? Is it the elemental magic of Qira? Is it Dogun magic, of fire and earth and/or dragons and demons such as Garaheth? Is it void influence? Could it even be the influence of Darkness?

 

in the quest aledar recognises/feels like it was the similar feeling he felt in gavel, also if you say darkness is gavellian magic then who came first? oriphon or the dern beast? also the silent expanse has a gateway to dern, also the light realm entrance is in gavel. they are both entries into their respective realms.

Your main point about this is kinda wrong, as happy lutho is not a real place, merely a version of lutho in the past remade by the light to provice the citizens happyness and to not make them suffer from their situation. First the "gavellian magic" is just light magic or magic in general. aledar said he felt gavellian magic because the light magic is from gavel, but its not actaully gallevian magic just it exists in gavel. Also because there is something on one side doesnt mean its there on the other. Then there should be a dark monolinth in gavel too it just doesnt work out.
