    Thought I'd bring this up here since it seems like there isn't a thread about it yet and it's probably relevant - the news has been propagating across various Minecraft channels for a few hours now. According to the info I've been here, the exploit (remote code execution through log4j packets) affects Minecraft versions 1.7+. Is anyone familiar with the details and the extent to which this is relevant to Wynncraft? (e.g. since Wynncraft uses some custom stuff to allow a wide range of client versions)

    we've pushed a patch for that as soon as we've heard about it. you should be safe playing wynn as usual

    basically, people could run commands in your computer using minecraft as an access point. very, very bad

    The exploit allows for remote code execution, which may as well be the wet dream of any hacker. It is just about the most dangerous vulnerability possible.
