Hunger of the Gerts 2 Problem

During the phase where you talk to captured gert, after i talked to him, when i tried to go up the stairs, the game thinks that i have not yet talked to him. When I try to talk to him, the talk gui thing doesnt show up. I have already tried relogging and /class. What else can i do?
