Before this story starts, just a few things.

    1. I’m not that good at writing story's like this, so sorry if the story is not very well made/worded. I hope you still can enjoy it despite my bad spelling.

    2. This is also my first attempt at something like this. I was inspired by the other great and talented story writers on this forum, so one day I was bored out of my mind when I came up with this story.

    3. This story was mainly just my idea about the forgery's lore, as not that much of it resides within the game or outside of it.

Anyways, onto the story. Enjoy!

    CHAPTER 1: Disturbance

It was perfect. The perfect day, the perfect weather, all seemed just fine as Willow sat in the light forest studying it’s natural beauty.

“This forest is magnificent!” She thought to himself. “I never would have knew such greatness in nature ever existed!” In all of Willow’s 21 years, studying vast natural sources all around Wynn he never thought that gavel too, with it’s swamps and volcanos could possess this amount of greatness in it’s natural life.

He was somewhat annoyed that he had never heard of the light forest before, but he was much more impressed than annoyed at the moment. Willow had studied in magic as well, as gavel was far more dangerous than Wynn but he almost never used it (She much preferred natural studies instead).

After wandering in the forest for what seemed like an eternity a rumbling BOOM! Came from one far side of the forest. “Whatever could that be?” She wondered. No matter the greatness of the forest, it was still in gavel nonetheless, and only told that it was “Dangerous ” by everyone she knew, drew out her staff on approaching where the sound had come from.

Then she saw it. A gigantic mound of earth and rock, supported in the air by 2 chains leading to the ground with a winding staircase up to the top made of strong light wood. “Whoa.” She said under her breath. “What is this?” With no other option, as her curiosity would not permit otherwise, she climbed up the long stairway. Upon reaching the top, she immediately noticed a few interesting facts about what was on top of this giant, elevated stone. She noticed 7 portals, each glowing with a different color than the other. However one seemed…different in a way…glowing more vehemently than the others, along with being shaky.

A little man stood in front of it, apparently pondering something. “What should I do?” She said to herself. Little did she know, the man heard it and turned around and said in a squeaky high voice said: “what you should do, is come here, and let me know what brings you to the forgery.

    CHAPTER 2: The timelines

“H-Hi..?” Said Willow, unsure if this strange little person was a friend or a threat. The little man, noticing the uneasiness in her voice said: “oh, you needn’t be afraid of little old Himit. I simply run this place to prevent the entirety of this timeline from becoming like…the…others. . .” His voice trailed off, thinking about something. “and who might you be?” Said Himit.

“Oh, sorry. My name is Willow, I came to the light forest to study it. Simply fantastic place!” “quite!” He piped up. “however, I have to get back to work, reality 31 is acting up again. I fear it may have to be shut down.” “Reality?” Said Willow, very interested at this point. “oh yes,” Said Himit. “almost nobody knows about them anymore.” Then Himet began the tale.

“a long time ago, back when magic was new and In it’s early stages, this one particular magic experimenter had found some strange runes. he tried everything he could with them, but to no avail. nothing at all was working, and he had no idea how to use them. in anger and frustration he slammed a rune into the ground, shattering it to bits, but in turn making a portal to a alternate timeline. back then the corruption was small and meek, but through the portal he saw everything burning, decaying and corrupted beyond imagination. he looked on in horror, as he saw the entire province of Wynn and Gavel coated in despair and death. there was only one place that was not overtaken yet, the light forest. There was huge walls of light surrounding it, summoned by Oriphon, which took almost all of his power, and the few survivors were in the forest, only alive by the mercy of Oriphon. That experimenter, was me. when I saw what was the fate of certain timelines and possibly our own, I got to work seeing what else these smashed runes could do. The forgery's purpose serves to find out timelines that are corrupted and protect them, by harnessing the runes power of reality reaching.

I...wow...Said Willow, speechless. That's...very kind. Dedicating your life just to help others, even in separate timelines.” “the problem is, sometimes there is a overflow in chaos in the realities that I try to save, making the portal unstable and potentially loosing the timeline forever. currently, reality 31 is having one such of those occurrences. and the only way to stop it is to manually go in and destroy some force of the corruption, otherwise it is lost.” He said, with sadness lingering in his voice.

Willow thought for a while, then decided. “I'll help.” She said.

    CHAPTER 3: Clearing the overflow

nonono-” Himit said hastily. “it's far too dangerous. besides, you were here to study the light forest, not to jump into some random old man's portal.” “I'm sure. Just tell me how this whole thing is gonna work.” Said Willow. “...fine. but just be warned, it's a really dangerous place, and quite unpredictable. take this.” Said Himit, putting in her hand a old compass, a strange flask and a scroll.

here's what you'll do: you will follow the compass to where the overflow is and clear it out, whatever it might be. when you do that use the scroll to get back here, and the potion is for preventing yourself to not be corrupted. got it?” “I think so.” Said Willow, trying not to sound nervous. “good. just go in the portal whenever you are ready. however I am giving you one last chance to change your mind on the matter. hand the items back to me if you want to return to your tour of the forest.” He said.

Willow hesitated for a second then said: “I'm sure.” A second time. “Here I go!” She said, jumping into the portal and downing the strange liquid. “good luck!” Himit yelled after her, as she entered the portal. It all was a swirling mass of light and darkness for a few second then she got up off the ground of the ruins of Ragni. She looked around. Fire and death was everywhere. “Don't focus on it, just focus on where this compass is gonna lead me.” She thought. Willow followed the compass out of the south entrance of Ragni.

Everywhere she looked, there was no life or green anywhere. Just death and despair. Suddenly she noticed the compass was leading her into Ragni's old sewer system. She knew that this must be where it is. “Let's just get this over with.” She thought to herself as she entered the old sewers.

As she was going through the tunnels she noticed hundreds of eyes staring at her from the gloom. “C'mon...” She said to herself. “It can't be that much longer-” Suddenly she stopped.

Ahead of her, she saw a door, old and rusted. She tried to open it. The door refused to move. “How do I get you open?” She said to the door. The door said nothing. “No hints, huh?” She said. “Alright. I gotta figure this-” Then out of the darkness sprang a zombie, with traces of corruption all over. “Gah!” She said, sliding to the side, While hitting the zombie square on the head with her staff.

The zombie collapsed, leaving a strange token. “What could you be for?” She thought. Suddenly she noticed a slot in the door that would fit the token. She put the token in, and the door sprung open. “Yes!” Willow said, triumphant.

As she entered through the door she felt uneasy... SLAM! The door closed behind her. “That's...not a good sign.” She said. “True.” Said a strange, grinding voice coming from a far corner of the room. Suddenly a skeleton, covered from head to toes (If he had any) in corruption stepped out of the shadows into the middle of the circular room.

“What...Who are you?” Said Willow, pulling out her staff. “My name, is Witherhead.” Said Witherhead, slight amusement entering his voise. “And you, are DEAD!” He shrieked, pulling out his bow and launching a arrow at Willow in one movement. Willow stepped to the side, and the arrow hit the wall with a Thud. “I see.” Said Willow. “No turning away, it's time to fight.” Willow launched a bolt from her staff, which hit Witherhead straight on the arm. “Just...DIE!” Screamed Witherhead, Launching volleys of arrows all around the room. One of them hit Willow, staggering her back.

Willow saw Witherhead let down his guard and took the chance to strike with all her might, crashing Witherhead into a pile of bones. And just as suddenly as it had started, it was over.

Then she noticed. She had done it. Witherhead was the cause of the portal's instability, and now that he was gone she could go back. Back to the light forest. Back to her home.

“Let's go.” She said, using the scroll.

    CHAPTER 4: The end

you are back!” Said a familiar voice. “I did it.” Said Willow. “I know.” Said Himit. “right when you did it, the portal returned to normal. you've been of great service to me, and for that I have a gift.

Himit dragged over a strange little box. “well, go ahead. open it!” Willow opened the box. There was Liquid emeralds, And a brand new staff inside it. “Thank you!” Said Willow. “I've been needing a new staff, and this one looks supreme!” “you are the one that deserves thanks, for helping save that timeline.” Said Himit. “now, come and have some cake before you leave.

Willow gladly accepted. And at the end of the day, after she left back for home on the Seaskipper,

    Willow was happy.
