You had me at "Wynn"

Ah Wynncraft, you have reeled me back in once again.

This is not much of an introduction, more like a reunion (mostly cause I cant post this in Llevigar Docks). Its been a solid 6 years since I posted last, and man has this place evolved!

No one would remember me, but I was one of the first players on the Wynncraft server when it opened in 2013. I would play off and on throughout the decade, and here I am posting on here once more. Can you believe it?

I remember the old Wynncraft fondly, with the old features such as raids, where the entire server gathered on one world and nearly crash the server whenever a raid began. Not to mention when the Gate to Gavel was discovered, generating tons of hype!

I was never much of a big player, however. I only played my one Warrior class to Level 53. But I remained dedicated to the server nonetheless. I even applied to the Build team a few times! (never got accepted though...)

I dont know if this really means im coming back, but it at least good enough to post on this account once more. Any one else carry any memories of old Wynncraft?

 

I feel you, I've been back and forth in the game since 2014. Its been a wild ride. I had sheets full of coordinates strewn across my desk to make sure I'd remember all the different powder temple locations. God, back then, pre-Gavel, when all the weapons looked the same, but the armors had skins, damn that was something. And how defense was so broken that you could make any character basically a god because you'd take so little damage.

I remember when a friend convinced me to use a hacked client, so I started flying across the oceans to get around faster, till I got banned. That was a pretty bad day, luckily Broettinger was cool and accepted my apology. Never used a hacked client after that.

Just checked, and Broettinger hasn't been online since 2017. Damn.

I started playing this game when I was a kid. I was an anti-social 13 year old, and spent the vast majority of my time playing Minecraft and not doing homework. Now I'm 20, nearly 21, in college with a ton of friends and barely any time to play videogames anymore. I wonder if that 13 year old would be proud of me now.

Damn. This post got me really retrospective here. But yeah, I've got some old memories of Wynncraft. A lot of good memories.
