PSA: Consumables are broken

Some may have noticed that they cant use hp+def scrolls on their low level classes, I'm here so answer the why.

To put it short:
You will not get a consumables stat if you don't already have that stat in any form.
This means that if you do not have a bonus hp stat from item ids you will not get that stat from potions, scrolls and food.

As you can see in the picture, I used a potion with Gather Speed, yet when looking at my stats I don't have the Gather Speed stat.

I hope this was helpful to all people out there wondering why their consumables don't work.

 

Oh is this a recent bug then?

 

Not exactly sure what to make of that but we will be looking into it. Did you notice any difference in gather speed or did it just not work at all?

 

it just did not work, i didnt even get it

 

Ive tested this myself, i can confirm it doesnt work.

I first tried to use a watery aura scroll on my naked shaman with nothing, didnt get any of the IDs. Then I put on water relic leggings, and I only got the INT boost from the scroll.

Can confirm also doesn't work, most obvious thing to check was jump height - having no jump height accessories/armor and using the consumable did not give me any jump height.
