I started a new profile, and all of the items in my Ender Chest are still there.

    Title says it all. I had a Level ~30 or so Assassin profile, and after being idle for a few months, I started a new Mage profile. However, all of the items from my original Ender Chest are still there in my Mage profile. Is this a bug, or is it intended? And would I still be allowed to use them on this new profile? (Not just posting a bug report as I'm unsure if this is intended)

    It's intended, your bank is shared across all your classes.

    Yes, it is intended. You can use any of your things on any profile and transfer them back and forth.
    The only way to not have this is to create an Ironman class, which makes it so you cannot open your bank and you cannot trade with other players and use the trade market
