Lore/Story Ava X Lari

A lot of the fans of my previous work requested that I make more work. So many in fact I had to make another fanfiction. Yeah it's another love story and no you can't send me any death threats, I moved to remote Alaska so I can't receive your mail


After the player defeated the parasite from Orphion, Lari couldn’t tell them the truth. That she had fled, terrified of failing. So when she mysteriously appeared back in gavel, she claimed she couldn’t remember a thing. Hiding from her shame, she decided she would travel to Wynn, while the player carried on with their journey in gavel. She bought a flying machine from a rather suspicious corkian merchant and thus set sail (in the air) for wynn.


After she was exiled from both the avos and the corkians, Ava had nothing but time on her hands. Maxie was eventually recalled to the city, and now she spends most of her time alone, tinkering with whatever she can find. The power armor the player had given her was a fun challenge to recreate, but she had long since mastered remaking it. She had no big invention to make, no inspiration on what to do next. Quite simply, she was bored. Until that fateful day.


Lari was sailing her airship past Corkus when a loud banging noise began emitting from the engine. As the ship began to lose altitude, she realized very quickly that she would need to make a pit stop in Corkus. She landed in a field near the main city and asked a local Engineer who could fix it. After looking it over he said, “Aye, that ship is in terrible shape. Only one person knows flying machines this well, a local avos girl who is exiled from both sides. Tragic story, but she’s the one you’ll need”. Lari began heading towards the workshop, with no idea what would happen next.


Lari knocked on the workshop door with a resounding thumping, and Ava opened the door to see if it was time for Maxie’s visit again. To her surprise, there was an elf standing outside her door. An elf with wings, nonetheless. Without even thinking, she blurted out “Your wings are beautiful! I didn’t know elves could grow wings”. Ava instantly felt embarrassed, she wouldn’t know whether or not elves had wings, she had never seen one. “Thanks uh… I’m kind of a unique elf, I heard you could fix flying machines”. Ava beckoned her inside.


Ava offered her some crackers, and Lari, being quite hungry, gladly accepted. After some moments of loud crunching and awkward silence, Ava broke the uneasy quietness “Yeah, I’ve worked with more flying machines than I can count. The supplies aren’t cheap though, do you have enough to pay for them”. Lari, forgetting that other cultures use money, simply said “I uh, spent all my money on paying for the machine. I have nothing left”. This lead to another few minutes of awkward silence as neither was sure what to do.


Finally, Ava responded, “I guess you could help me around the workshop to pay for the supplies, lets start with something simple”. As Ava walked past Lari to grab some parts, her wings brushed Lari’s wings. Ava blushed, and lari said, “Oh! Sorry, let me move out of your way”. This wasn’t what Lari meant though, she too felt something. Ava said, “Perhaps for now let’s just... talk”.


The two chatted for hours, about Ava’s banishment, about Lari’s journeys with the player, and eventually, Lari, completely out of the blue blurted “I didn’t actually go after Bak’al, I ran away”. This was the first time Lari had ever confessed this, and she hadn’t expected to do so soon, if ever. She was nervous, would this seeming stranger scold her. This was too much, Lari began to cry.


Ava simply shushed Lari with her wing and began brushing Lari’s wing. This comforted Lari more than she cared to admit, and after a while, she had stopped crying. As Lari looked into Ava’s eye’s she felt something… good. Very good, in fact. She leaned in without thinking and kissed Ava’s beak. This was the beginning of a long and lovely story.

Has science gone to far

 

As Lari leaned in towards Avas soft delicate body, Ava stumbled back, tripping. Lari quickly grabbed her by the waist and as their faces drew closer. Lari opened her mouth, and into Avas ears she said: "Join OPM".
