(A follow up on SPOILER - The True Meaning of "Fall of the Twins" | Wynncraft Forums from @StinkyEyeCookie)

So, in case you’re not familiar wit hit, “Fall of the Twins is a cryptic poem you can read in the Grand Archive, a secret discovery. It reads as follows:

Born from another, condemned each other.
One sought fort he truth, the other for solace,
but did not treat themselves as brothers.
Breaking through heaven was the young one’s dream.
It’s call hollowed the souls of the frightened,
but it was not enough tob ring a flow tot he stream.
The younger one fell, as the ambition brought it down.
The older one watched with grief and sorrow,
only to wear its long desired crown.
Though only for a while, the survivor smiled.
The clows soon savaged and the blood flowed wild,
as from a nameless place judgement had arrived.

It, indeed, is pretty mysterious and cryptic. No one has been able to give a solid enough explanation of this poem.

    That is, until now.

Correct. The poem describes the christian ideas of the Devil and God

    Let me explain:

    Title: “Fall of the Twins”

As is often the case in poems, twins isn’t literal here. Twins is commonly used to mean “two sides of the same coin”, which is certainly the case for big G (Good) and D (Bad). The fall is explained in the poem itself for both characters.

Born from another, condemned each other.

In Christian theology, God created the Devil. The devil condemned god for what is described in line 2.

One sought for the truth, the other for solace.

God has the truth, a truth which the Devil could not accept and therefore the Devil sought their own truth, going against God.
It was Gods truth that the Devil would have solace in their truth. God found no solace in the acts of defiance from the devil but tried to create it by punishing the devil.

But did not treat themselves as brothers.

This refers to the fight between the brothers described above

Breaking through heaven was the young one’s dream

The Devil, being created by god, is the younger one. Big D tried to figuratively break through heaven by overthrowing God

It’s call hollowed the souls of the frightened,
but it was not enough to bring a flow tot he stream.
The younger one fell, as the ambition brought it down.

In this breaking through heaven, each soul in heaven was effected and rightfully frightened
but the Devil did not manage to overthrow God.
As a punishment, the Devil was sent to Hell.

This is the titular “fall”. The Devil falls to hell

The older one watched with grief and sorrow

God also metaphorically falls down because he created the Devil with free will and considers their sins a personal failing.

Only to wear its long desired crown.

God is back up in heaven, uncontested

Though only for a while, the survivor smiled.
The claws soon ravaged and the blood flowed wild,
as from a nameless place judgement had arrived.

After God cast the Devil down, the Devil further negatively effected others. The claws refer to sin and Hell now has an occupant who judges unjustly, the Devil.

Thus we see that the poem “Fall of the Twins” actually refers to Jesus. I give you my thanks for reading my explanation of the above tekst.

As creative and interesting this is, I simply just don't think whoever wrote the poem intended it to be a metaphor for Christianity. It's a fantasy MMORPG minecraft server and there are no other major biblical or Christian references anywhere in the game. The biggest flaw is that God and Jesus simply aren't Twins; twins are born at the same time and Jesus was created after God. Furthermore, Jesus absolutely never condemned God or vice-a-versa; they are never portrayed as antagonists to one another in traditional Christian teachings.

If I had to guess a possibility of what the poem means, it could be a reference to Orphion and the Dark Beast. Now it is a hunch, but given that this scenario touches upon the in game lore and therefore more topical, it makes more sense than a reference to a real life religion.

The first and third lines match; both are born from completely different sides of the same coin (light and dark) and they hate each other.
Breaking through heaven makes more sense because the Dark Beast wanted to invade the light realm, which is considered as a sort of heaven in the Elves religion.
The younger one falling could be a reference to the Dark Beast being defeated at some point, only to then rise and challenge the older one once more (in this case Orphion).

Beyond the poem, there is one off-hand line from the Light Forest Ultimate Secret Discovery: "This fight... This war... It has torn us apart from what we were."
This is the Dark Beast talking to Orphion; so it means that at one point in the past these two beings were once connected. So I guess it can kinda support the usage of "twin" in the title of the poem.

But that's just my two cents on it; I doubt we will ever get a clear answer and I don't think there was meant to be one.
