Im planning on starting a Craftsman + (self imposed ironman), and I'm wondering if I should add Hardcore too for the hell of it.

    Since
Assuming I haven't spent 7 decades grinding ingredients, I can pretty much get any gear I lose due to hardcore back in seconds by just... crafting it again. The only use for emeralds that I can think of are healing potions and travel scrolls, but If I choose Mage or Shaman healing potions arent as useful anymore.

If there's some sort of super important reason I need emeralds in an ironman run, then I just won't add Hardcore.

(self-imposed ironman because I still want to be able to use the bank and chuck legendary items for other classes, and mainly because I want to clear out my ingredient stash I don't use. and obviously if I start a real ironman I can't do either of those. Oh and don't tell me to just sell my ingredients I want to start a craftsman run anyway)
ok I Just realised that sounds... I guess kind of stupid, but like... I'll still be using my inventory as my only storage and not accepting help from others
    I dunno
My self-imposed ironman, my self-imposed rules

    shoot
    I cant edit the title
Im reading this back like half an hour later

I meant "Whats a use for emeralds in Craftsman"
    shoot
since Ironman you can... ya know... identify things

Emeralds are still required by Blacksmith in order to repair stuff, purchase from merchants (ingredients etc.) as well as some minor expenses by quests and other things.

It should be possible to edit the title by clicking a button at the top of the thread.
Also please wait at least a day before bumping (or taking another question), forums is not the fastest medium. You can try Wynncraft discord instead.

As for your post on wiki: nothing really happened, it is just better to keep it clean (also saves me wondering what might be happening on the page :D)

The main uses I can think of are buying horses, some quest items, and gathering tools

Purchasing items from merchants(notably ingredients or quest items)
    Purchasing horses
    Pretty much all gathering tools
    Powdering
    Purchasing scrolls
Identify if you want but its not really major if youre doing Craftsman unless you need a TON of scrap

I'm pretty sure LinnyFlower provided a perfect example of why you should obtain emeralds on an ironman, which was to buy useless (OR USEFUL??) expensive items from merchants. Like the Demonic Demon Mask from Rodoroc which costs 32le per. Shots actually has a pretty funny thread on this mask which i'm sure you can find quite easily if you look for it.
