    What was the CraftedMovie server?

As some of you may know, CraftedMovie server was the community server before Wynncraft, the name derived by the YouTube channel with the same name. It was running on a whitelist, and early on consisted of three major worlds:
    • Survival
    • Anarchy
    • Creative
The names of the worlds are fairly self-explanatory, but I will go over them later on too.
The three worlds shared the same hub, or lobby, known as Port, the center, and the first thing you saw when logging onto the server. Crazy simple, right?!

But, wait, what does this have to with anything, let alone a build?
Well, being the nostalgic fellow I am, I couldn't help but notice the housing islands have circa the same size and diameter as the old port, which instantly got me into the process of finding old maps, plotting, resource-harvesting and grinning to myself at 3 AM.

To see the build and the comparisons, click the spoiler below.
If you rather want just info on the port, you may scroll a tad further down.
Now, the very first thing one will see upon entering my island, is this:

I quickly realized two things as I was taking these screenshots; that I was lacking both the correct cardinal directions of the original, as well as the texture pack.
    Yet I continued.

I also realized that while I can copy, I did make errors underway, so it is not a 100% perfect copy :salted:
I also lacked water, hastily using glass instead.

    Pots

I will add that, both the position of the pots, the owners and the signs changed over time, and since I tried to include as many through the 5 years as possible, it will not be exactly the same.
I also had no cauldrons to work with, resulting in wacky-wavy colourful sponge.

I even tried to include CraftedBeach, but, without water or space I had to do with the entry-way to it.

A trend you might start to notice is, while I have space for the main lobby, it requires HERO rank or higher to build further. Unfortunately that means I am unable to include the teleport-hubs for the worlds themselves, (for now) :saltedhappy:

Once again, missing a few pots and the glaringly obvious lack of the smaller hubs are majorly visible.
    oh well.

    Parkour!

Yea, the lobby had a parkour set to it! More on that later.

    Staff & Commands.

This is the side which I think turned out the finest contra the size limit. It looks more collapsed and real than the other three.
It contains, in the modern version, (I think) all of the Moderators and Admins the server ever had.

    Info and tid-bits!
I have included links to gifs on imgur, since no other site makes it possible to upload video-in-thread
Sorry! (Will upload on YouTube if really needed)

    Parkour
So as you might've seen during the comparison, the port has a parkour set up, twirling around the middle structure to the top of the Staff AFK pots.
Featuring jumps and gaps, as well as some creative thinking, the only way to clear it was with the use of a Lvl II Speed potion or higher.

For as long as I can remember I never personally beat it, and ended up needing to be teleported once or twice.

    CraftedBeach
If one continued to the right of Survival, you would encounter the CraftedBeach gate-way.
Going through there, you'd be led through a small cave, and then onto the party!
This big beach had everything from tennis and fishing, to drinks and fireworks. Though not used often except for some small events, it was always a blast to hang out 20-25 people here.

    Worlds
As mentioned, there was originally 3 worlds accessible to the general server public, Survival, Anarchy, and Creative.

Creative was, well, creative. Only donators had access to this world and could build what-ever they wanted, ranging from giant redstone contraptions to statues of minecrafters, often the CraftedMovie crew.
Grian would at times hold building competitions, whilst giving the occasional tips and tricks on how to improve. It was replaced with Nether-PVP near the end of the community's lifespan.

Survival was often where the community flourished the most. This was purely PvE, no griefing, respect eachothers boundaries. Spawn was often big and full of trusted-housing (Trusted being a rank much like "Helper" on other servers), and people vibing. This is also where I spent the majority of my time!
On one instance of the map (which was wiped every few years), we had a big metro-railway system going through one end of the world to the other.

Lastly, Anarchy was pure PvP. Griefing, slaughtering of loved ones and raiding was part of the daily routine, though some factions did create bigger establishments that would last for a while longer. This world was eventually shut down due to low player-base and lagging the entire server, replaced by minigames.

I unfortunately have no gif or video of this as I was unable to locate both minigame or anarchy, but here is the Minigame hub and a statement about PvP.

    Minigames
    [IMG]
One of the minigames, though I can not recall which world it was in, was capture-the-flag. Old-school style which ran on as little plugins as possible, with a destructible map that would reset every win.

    Dungeon
So, the entire port by itself however, is littered with easter-eggs. Some of which I have only found now though, about a decade later. A major one however, is the dungeon-quest like system that starts in the survival spawn. It takes multiple people to just get it started, so I never got further than the lava-cobweb-maze area.

I'm also pretty sure it was made by Tama63

    Community board
The port also had a community board. Users could spawn a sign and in this small area that was not world-guarded, post anything they'd like. It was used from conveying smiles and jokes, to memes, and to stay updated for if you'd been away the weekend.

    Easter-eggs

As mentioned before, the port was full of them, be it a potion of slowness named "Beer" or the command /grian (drunk), to wholesome stuff and buildings scarcely seen by non-staff.

It was a trip to fly around and enjoy all of this once again.
Maybe now I can finally let go of the past?

A hint? An inspirational sign? Who? Nobody knows. In the background, the CraftedCastle.

Anyway, felt nostalgic, might buy hero and finish the built later I guess.
Thank you for reading all this way, whoever you are! I hope you enjoyed it if not just one tenth of what I did.

Do leave a reply with your thoughts, either on the original server or my recreation.

PS; Sorry Salted you can come back, I just didn't want you to see it before I'd done all I could. :saltedhigh:

That's why I made a housing, just to pay homage and feel a bit more homely.
Why don't you come on down, help keep the community-board stay alive, like these fine individuals?

Very lovely, and accurate! This is definitely a dedicated build.

This was in the Survival world! You could teleport to a special area, walk into a weird portal and play some CTF, which I believe had some easter eggs of its own. The CTF map itself, iirc, was also in the middle of the survival world somewhere, funnily enough.

Port was one of my fave parts of CM; I just love how a hub world had all these little extra secrets, extra items you could find and use in an area where you're meant to have a clear inventory. Grand stuff!
