Guild What do you look for when applying to a guild?

I'm curious and doing some research - what do you guys look for when applying to a guild? Or for those who aren't in a guild yet, what's preventing you from applying/joining them?

 

when i joined my guild it was because i liked the chill environment and the name, prestige and politics weren't really considerations at all

 

Did you interact with the guild members beforehand? Or did they approach you?

joined this sus guild called nefarious ravens, they offered me cake which was kinda sus thing to do, caked turned out to be a lie, but the members are the best. 11/10 would join again.

I always joined guilds based off what my friends were in. Now as a leader of a guild, people will join either because we are powerful or because they know someone in my guild.

 

i found them through a shout bomb, and applied from there

 

When I was looking for a guild I was kinda sold by lgbt friendly but I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I'd say how the community is described/optional war active was also nice (even tho I was looking to join a warring guild)

 

I actually was invited kinda randomly, but I am happy to be in a guild that is just chill, a group to play together and help each others, we do wars but they are not compulsory, sometimes we have raid/dungeon partys... Before I joined this guild I actually looked into some ways to join other guilds but having to complete forms that looked like job applications to maybe join definitely kept me away from those guilds.

 

honestly my first guild experience is being randomly invited in Troms, and post that era it was mainly friends especially during the 2019 depression break from ILQ.

I don't have much to add other then recruiting is hard and could have way more traffic if the majority of the playerbase didn't have a 12 year olds' brain and had such a hard time filling in forms.

 

I haven't joined a guild because I play with a friend on my highest level account and they don't want to join one. If I end up either leveling one of my alt accounts high enough or if we finally complete the game, I'll probably end up joining one.

That does make sense! Good luck with levelling, but don't stress about rushing it - the first playthrough of Wynn is always the best in my opinion!

 

There definitely seems to be a divide in the forms - some people hate them and really struggle, but in a way are they necessary to weed out the trolls/bots.

I will not give too many informations as to not make it clear what guilds I tried to join, but asking for how much time I plan to play every day, in what time zone I live, my age and if I have non Minecraft related "useful" skills like programming/drawing... is a bit too much in my opinion
