Is There A Combat Timer?

Sometimes while grinding combat xp my game will just randomly freeze causing me to die. I am wondering if there is a combat timer that if you log out during it you will instantly die?

 

There is not a combat timer - chances are, your computer just freezes or your internet has issues, but the server keeps going in the background, meaning mobs will kill you without you knowing it. This has happened to me a few times.

 

But I would be at full health, leave 2 seconds after I freeze in fear of dying, then when I get back I am in the nearest city and have a death added to my profile. (I know that I would not have taken enough damage to die.)

 

It's possible you took some damage before you froze, but it may not have registered properly at the time due to a connection issue.
