Are Quest Rollbacks Possible?

I was doing the The Hero of Gavel quest and got to this part:

After seeing the first two dialogue lines, I instantly skipped the parkour (archer jumping to the top) to break the rope anchor which was supposed to save Siegfried, but then when I was prompted to go check on him the trap reset and he was invisible/nowhere to be seen, with the trap being unable to be triggered again. I epxlored around to see if I could redo this part, but I crossed an invisible line and now cannot undo my actions, with Siegfried I assume being dead. I understand that you get a certain item for keeping him alive in the quest and it feels a bit unfair that he just vanished despite me playing the quest correctly. And so, I was wondering if the quests could be rolled back or something so that I could actually save him this time.

 

No, they are not and never will be.
Unfortunately, due to the way quests work and the rewards and stuff, this is not possible.

 

I WOULD LIKE THEM TO, but sadly not. You'll have to make a bug report and pray to the salted and the admin gods to fix your problems if you are stuck
