I have met a few Hypixel players in the starting areas, and I thought maybe we could start a thread about tips for new players :)

I won't say I'm a Wynncraft veteran, but I have spent quite a bit of time playing on the server. So here are some tips I want to share that could make Wynncraft more enjoyable to you :D

    1. Do quests for xp instead of grinding for mobs

Quests is in my opinion by far the funnest and easiest way to gain xp fast! You also get to enjoy the creative writing of the developers and learn about the lore of Wynncraft :) If quests aren't enough to bring you up to the next level, I would recommend doing dungeons, then grind mobs if even that isn't giving you enough xp. Personally, I have a pretty easy time levelling up from quests and didn't have to grind that much.

I've heard Hypixel Skyblock is very grindy? I don't think Wynncraft is that kind of server :)

    2. Don't worry about investing in gear just yet, unless you're lvl.70+.

In early game, I didn't have to buy any armour throughout my playthrough and got by just fine with the loot from mobs and chests. Imo it's not worth it to buy specific armour pieces from the Trade Market because you level up pretty quickly, and your armour will not be able to keep up (I know it might tempting to buy a legendary just so you can feel good about owning one, but trust me it's a waste of emeralds)

It's especially not worth it to buy common armour with no item IDs from armour merchants because you can get them easily from mobs and chests.

However, I would say it might be worth it to look at the different build styles, so you can make a decent build from the items you find (it won't be OP but it will get you through the game) You might have to start investing in builds when you're lvl 70+ because that's when you might encounter difficult bosses like Bob's Reincarnation.

    3. Party up with other players!

Even though I think Wynncraft is fun when playing solo because of the huge amount of content and lore that it has, it is still "The Minecraft MMORPG"! (they even have a world record for it) Quests are only 50% of the game, the other half is playing multiplayer! I think it is a great experience playing in a party, whether it's clearing dungeons and raids or just chatting. Just do /partyfinder in the chat and you can find a party that might interest you, or create one yourself :)

I am a returning player and only rejoined Wynncraft about a month and a half ago, so my tips might not be accurate. If anyone else wants to give other "beginner tips", feel free to comment!

I hope you do enjoy playing Wynncraft :D

Very nice and helpful thread right here!
One more key piece of information I'd recommend putting in is not to focus too much on grinding for professions on your first playthrough of the game, since the grind can be a little boring and daunting at times.

Other than that this a very solid and helpful guide!

  3. it is
during my first playthrough as assassin i finished all the quests in 3 weeks
2nd playthrough i got it done in around 2 weeks
for hsb it took me 1 month to get like 400 weight (and you need 10k+ weight to be end game)
true but i would still buy morph armor if i dont have it
its pretty good as it gives a lot of xp bonuses and you can use it on different profiles
most hypixel players coming come from hsb
and they dont do parties most of the them
nice advice but i doubt a majority of players would do this

If skyblock players are reading this then grinding isn't really a problem for them. As a skyblock player you only grind on skyblock, theres no quests that helps you, so you have to grind mobs. But yea, im level 76 on wynncraft and I don't see a point on professions, what do they even do and is it useful?

Professions are meant to give the player the option to craft their own gear through gathering materials and crafting stations as well as giving resources to build stuff in housing but really the grind is such a pain with most resources being locked behind a level cap. It honestly just hurts to level it up and I pity anyone who decides to take up a Craftsman class.

So its kinda like tinkers construct, the mod. Is "crafting" the gear better than gear thats dropped by mobs or from quests or from chests, etc.

Sometimes if you use correct ingriedients you can craft really good gear, but usually loot from mobs, chests etc. is better.

Oooo I forgot about professions because I don't play around with them. That is very grindy and Skyblock players might be into them :o

LOL yeah I saw that the maintenance is like 95% done

    FINALLY, less lag :D

There's some really good items you can make, like accesories that give +50 int each. But it's usually better to have someone else craft them or buy them from someone.

Another tip I'd add is to explore! Wynn has so many secrets, including loot caves, secret discoveries (which give you xp and lore), easter eggs and generally a lot of cool places.

Another nice piece of advice I would add is to join a community guild, or a war guild as a community member (if they allow it). Joining a guild links you up with like-minded players who can help, party up, trade, etc and the guilds serve as a great foundation for the mass multiplayer and community side of the game. Though guilds tend to get a lot of bad rep because of how toxic the “warring” scene can be, most individual guild members and their corresponding guilds are all great people who will help make your Wynn experience better! If you’re interested in joining one, there is a dedicated section of the forums for finding the guild best fit for you.

I really enjoy a community guild :) it's basically like playing with friends, and it's super fun to organise raids/dungeon runs to do together. I would say I'm more of the casual player and warring is not for me cuz it's a bit much. Though guild wars could be your thing.
