What Tiers Of Gear To Prioritize While General Looting?

So when I'm going around on my mid level characters doing quests, I've always tried to grab the highest tier items, so I'd toss out normal items for unique, unique for rare, and rare for legendary. Thing is, I'm pretty sure I make more money just selling normal items instead of identifying and selling uniques and rares. I always keep legendries since they sell well on the market.

Anyone have any stats?

tl;dr when my inventory is full, should I trade out whites for yellows and purples?

 

there are some useful common and rare items but only certain things
(just as not every legendary isnt great)
so you gotta do your research
wynntils helps you by giving information what the unidentified item could be
and wynndata shows you the stats of items

 

Personally, I only pick up stuff that can be something I know sells for a decent amount (or at least sells). That reduces the number of trash items you identify and then can't sell for a profit
