Hytale

So, Hytale is coming out soon, it would be a lot more powerful for a game like Wynncraft. People bring up the fact that Hytale is owned by another server, but they actually are separate from Hypxiel now and are 'Hypixel studios' Also, people say that the Hypixel community is bad and that Hytale will be the same, except that Hytale has reached a much wider audience than Minecraft. A lot of people won't even be from Hypixel, and it will mostly be people from minecraft. In my opinion, Wynncraft has a lot of opportunity in Hytale, because of how powerful the game is.

Wynncraft is a minecraft server and is here to stay.

Also, when Hytale was first announced, people were like ''yeah minecraft is fucked at this point'' but then Hypixel took like 5 years to release it and by the time that they will release the game it will be forgotten. In the time it has taken, Dream and many other youtubers have revived minecraft to the point where Hytale will be irrelevant and will flop.

That doesn't matter, what matters is that Minecraft will be bigger than Hytale BECAUSE of Dream's influence. It would be useless to pour a monumental amount of effort into porting Wynn to Hytale since Hytale would be less popular

Yeah I think most people have forgotten about Hytale by this point, but that may change once hypixel releaces it because of server advertisements.

 

Literally everything would be different. None of the work done so far, except maybe the items, would be able to be ported. None of the code would work because hytale uses a different language. None of the builds can be ported because of format issues and a disparity in blocks. Command block people would have to learn whatever kind of scripting language hytale has.

I think that if wynncraft was originally in hytale things would be better, but that's not the case. Wynn is over 7 years old, and hytale isn't even out yet.

Wynn in Hytale would probably take way too much work
Hytale IS coming out (they're presumably releasing beta later this year), but I doubt it'll the the commercial success that everyone made it out to be so long ago.

 

Generally, if you announce a game too long before it's release, the hype will have died down and fewer people will care about playing it. If hypixel had announced Hytale this year, say, then it would be much better for it's success because people aren't being kept waiting for long enough that they get bored.

 

The more I think about it, the more I realize Hytale is likely far too ambitious of an idea to work. There's no way it'll be as good as the original trailer suggests, and even if it WAS possible for Wynncraft to be made there, I genuinely think Minecraft might still be the superior option.

 

Wynncraft still has the power of nostalgia too. Plus, from the looks of it, Hytales main edge is just better visuals, all 3d textures are different and a better QOL, but Wynn still has the simple fact, Hytales probably gonna cost cash, and people who bought minecraft and dont want to buy another block game can get pretty much the same experience by playing Wynn, so in a way, player counts might stagger than rise
