Mage/Dark Wizard Help Looking For Criticism And Corrections To My Lament Build.

Not long ago I was browsing the forums looking for all kinds of builds for the Lament I recently purchased. I have tried a few but ended up using one that I made myself (haven't seen it anywhere else). The reason why this build has 7/4s mana regen is because my time rift and my Lament both have bad mana steal so I litterally have 0 ms with the build below. The goal with this build was to be relatively tanky (good elemental defense, some defense and agility and the ability to use KoH) while also being able to deal a good amount of damage. I can comfortably spell-spam with this (I'd say I'm pretty quick) and have soloed EO, LI and Qira without potions. I am very new at this, this is basically my first build. The damage shown on the website is usually a lot higher due to the powders on the armor and the Time Rift.

I am just looking for criticism, corrections and tips for this kind of build since I'm new at this and think that someone with more experience could just make a better version of this. Here's the build:

Criticism -> LI Hydro Slap is Lazy

 

one annoyance:
1. no need to use big font aaaaa

two surface level things:
1. no need to wwa/wwt on armor powders, just do two w on each since all you want is conc. Don't waste money there.
2. I'd assign extra into def over agi, more value in pve situations

and a slightly deeper thing:
1. accessories could use work- dragon's eye over dhydro brace OR 2x bcata over the rings. You already have more than enough mana (7/12 mixed is insane even if you have bad rolls on gear, it'll still be above 10 total), and the 1 spellcost gives you more value than wasted mana. You also have an excess of int when the effective cap on mage is 129, and swapping to bcata or deye solves both those problems while giving you 1 mana meteors. If you still have an issue after that, slap mpc (moon pool) with the deye or just get a decent time rift.




it's a very cookie cutter wfa mage build but that's not really a fault.

Doesn't explain the dhydro brace or the ring slap over mpc or other mr sources

would love if you expanded on this

 

ele defs matter sometimes and it's at least nice to patch them from negative to positive (or from bad to acceptable). admittedly there's no reason to do so for this specific lament but there are other cases where it would help, such as this wf monster, cdd cover black, and disso morrowind.

 

Phew, was scared it was something else. Eledefs were completely fine on this particular build, hence my confidence and wording in my initial statement.
