A month almost passed without a bump, so BUMP.

 

"So, where are we?" A voice asked.

"I can't quite determine. A space between?" Another voice responded.

"Certainly seems like a departure from the usual places we visit." A third voice joined.

"Thank god I can still see." A fourth voice appeared.

"Y-You can, but it's like a moonless night for us!" A fifth, final voice chimed.

"Either way, I don't think we should be here." The second voice replied.

"So how do we leave? The way we came in?" The first queried.

"We don't know how we got in is the thing." The fourth voice answered.

"Eugh, look at all this junk. I can barely see, but it's like some horrible museum of the worst parts of our lives." The third voice spoke with disgust.

The fifth voice screamed.

The first voice called their name.

"S-Sorry, there's some...dead person here." The fifth voice cried.

"A dead god," The second noted, "This place was left to die. We might have not come here after all."

"So we were revived in a dead world? Brilliant." The fourth voice said with annoyance.

"What now, then?" The first questioned.

"I suppose we could wait for our existence to perish again, or we could explore to give meaning to what 'time' we have here." The second said, as if shrugging.

"Is this some kind of punishment?" The fifth voice said with worry.

"I'll kick the ass of whoever thought it was a good idea to mess with us like this." The third voice said with a flare of rage.

"It's not a punishment, more like a mistake. I'm sure we'll be returned to null in due time." The second voice exposited.

"I sense...change." The first whispered, for the last time.
