Wynncraft Nostalgia Thread

What things in Wynncraft are you most nostalgic about? Duplicate answers are okay.

Here's a few things that i'm really nostalgic for (most of them were removed sadge)

The quests that were unfortunately removed.
Prison Story (a good quest, actually all of them are good)
The Relic Shrines (and also relics in general, I miss relics so much, the most useless things ever)
Lord of the Clock (this one's my favourite)
Suspended Flowers
Sister City
Tower of Amnesia (remember when resetting skill points cost 1 LE)
A Confused Farmer (I actually hated this one with a burning passion, but I kinda miss it. Cow Passes as well)

And I know that these quests are not good, but I was young when I joined Wynncraft so they were amazing to me. Just simple, simple quests. No complicated cutscenes or anything.

The changed dungeons
Now I don't mean the really old dungeons, I mean the ones before the Dungeons and Discoveries update.

Skeleton Dungeon, Spider Dungeon, Animal Dungeon, Zombie Dungeon, Silverfish Dungeon

Once the Dungeons and Discoveries update came out, there was a merchant in Detlas that exchanged the old keys for the new ones.
Also, completing a dungeon gave you a key for the next one.
I remember hugely praising Sand-Witch for having three spells, ohh how times have changed.

A few minor things:

The old Nivla Tree Village
The old Creeper Infiltration, I still remember the mask maker's name, it was Alice
Lost Soles, Lost Tower and Tribal Agression haven't been changed, like ancient artifacts that stood the test of time.
Powders were completely useless. This was imbetween the update that changed powders, and the powders that gave enchantments.
The old Potion Making
The texture pack glitch that made flower pots purple and black blocks.
The nether, in early 2016 there were an average of five players in the Nether for me.
Iron Knuckle the dagger, it's an odd choice but I used this weapon to survive in the Savanna area, shouting in Detlas "I AM RDY TO FACE THE OCELOTS"

I'm nostalgic for the 2014-era community and that's it. Any of the old Wynn features could be added back and I honestly wouldn't care because old wynn was inferior to modern wynn in my eyes (apart from a few minor things), the community was the only thing that kept me going back then.

 

I joined in 2020, so there a not a lot of nostalgic things, but if I had to say some, it would be these:

- Old Iron Heart Pt 2
- Jumble Cave
- Heliolux (But not old Realm of Light)
- Lord of the Clock (Kind of, since I never did LotC)

Edit: Also Aerolia Flower, sadly got removed in the 1.20 update and would be nice for it to be a miniboss at the end of the cave it now has.

 

Player towers.

I miss the simplicity of old Wynn, and I definitely miss a lot of the community and some of the jank and dumb, funny quests that really made with stand out in terms of MMOs, even though they weren't that good. I miss the feel of old Wynn, though that's mostly nostalgia.

 

Now nostalgic doesn't mean better - I think today's Wynncraft is vastly superior to 2014 Wynncraft, but it had its own charm, it was simple and the fact that I was exploring everything for the first time was unique in a way that nothing will ever be again on Wynn

Old Powders
Sister City
Old Dungeons (Skeleton, Spider, Animal, etc...)

The feeling of being lvl 43 and somehow getting my hands on a basic, not even unique diamond chestplate and I thought it was so OP and I was so looking forward to get to lvl 68 and wear it

 

The old nivla village, up in the trees, was so much more unique than the one it was replaced with.

refineries are nostalgic for me

oh and also old tower of amnesia quest

 

The old Spider Cave quest in Nivla forest... it was hard to survive that quest, I loved it.

Sister City, we miss you Lil.

Old Detlas. The new one is a lot better but I still miss the old one... the memories.

The old Tutorial (from 2017 or so) was just beautiful and fun

most importantly... THE JUNK MERCHANT! No, this is no joke. I really loved the junk merchant at early level areas. Happy that the beautiful carts are still around :>

 

yeah, they were really well designed visually, even if the weight and second refinement systems were awful

 

The most nostalgic thing for me was the gavel gate before i knew what gavel even was, i loved to look at the map and theorize myself what is behind it (a dungeon? new area like almuj? or something bigger?)

Also back then when temple of legends was a endgame area.

Oh, and can't forget vip town, never get to experience it myself and only saw it next to the road to detlas couple times when i started

 

I remember when I first joined having an enchanted wooden stick. It was a clock stick. no rp. nothing beyond wynn province. when I came back a few years ago Is till remembered it. Really sad returning me sold it cos I immediately regretted it

 

Oh damn, I had completely forgotten about it.

 

Definitely old nivla village, that was probably one of my favourite spots. And while the new quests are unquestionably better, I remember doing a lot of the old ones. Prison story, sister city, spider cave, frost bitten, tower of amnesia, and suspended flowers are the ones that first come to mind. I remember it took ages to find the npc for starting suspended flowers lol. I think my old account might still have the aerolia boots. And the Troms runs! Those were really fun, and the great bridge was super scary at level 21

 

Bat cave that got removed in 1.20 and replaced with Vangrant Van's hut
