In my never-satiating thirst for more Wynncraft ommunity content, I bring you my newest thread.

This isn't a ripoff of an already existing thread trust me.

Darkest quotes

Except this one got replaced recently, which I understand, it's dark, but it kind of pales in comparison to the other quotes on this list.

Imagine if a real philosopher said something like this. What a huge outrage it would create! His point of "good and evil are just a way of saying "I like" and "I don't like" and all morality is just opinion might be true, but this is still very dark.

Sign from Skiens island: My cellmate died today. He started eating himself out of hunger... He then bled out on the floor, and apologised for his mess... (Unnecessary text related to code)... but it's obvious I'm never going to escape. I am going to end it tonight and get it over with.
Now, the first part is obviously the super dark part, however the second part could be interpreted as him plotting to escape the prison, but the previous sentence gives it away that he's going to kill himself.

Can you imagine something like this in the real world? A person praised by everybody, for example like Einstein, and when you visit his grave, you see a 5 meter tall pile of actor corpses that look exactly like him.

Doesn't matter what religion you are, if you saw proof that something like THAT actually exists, you would probably devote your entire life into just praying.

The Parasite
This one is a weird choice, but parasites in general are very scary. Now imagine a parasite, that once enters your body can control your mind and make you murder everybody you love. Yeah.


So i'd like to see what you think are the darkest moments/quotes in Wynncraft. Removed ones are appreciated too. Of course these are just a few quotes I can think off of the top of my head. Comments are very appreciated

 

One of the signs in Skien's Island mentions how one of the island's prisoners was starving to death and, since he didn't want to eat his cellmate, he ate himself alive until he bled out and died.

Kinda surprised you didn't put anything from AHC, RoL, or the Corruption.

AHC is a big Dark (literally, heh) Descent as you act out atrocities throughout history. Not only is it a first person view with you killing some characters you've came to know, but also the fact that YOU, carry out these acts without reluctance. You were willing to kill them, and it was of your own volition.

Actually, now that I think about it, A Journey Beyond is pretty dark too.

There's also RoL with Lari having to carry the weight of 1000 years of suffering while trying her hardest to do things right, all the while growing more desperate and disconnected and you just come along and just fix all of Gavel's easily. A pretty heavy thing to sink in once you think about it from her perspective. Also, the Headless Hunt, a pretty grim fate for Dullahan.

Lastly, the Corruption. You see how it devastates the lands, and in Secret Discoveries, it paints a very grim effect on Wynn. As early as the story of Witherborn is pretty grim, and how the undead shaped Wynn as it is now.

The iron heart part 2 when we find out that people were being stuffed into iron golems against their will, and sold to protect cities. They were transformed into freakish beings after being robbed of their memory and loved ones but kept alive in a cruel state of eternal coldness for 'the greater good'. Even after ur character uncovers the truth, there's a choice that can be made to keep the iron golem production going. The sucky thing is, no matter if u choose to stop it or not, people will end up suffering either way.

That was kinda dark imo and I was low-key shocked when I played through it. It feels weird walking past an iron golem now that i know how they're made.

 

There's a monument near the Ragni castle entrance dedicated to people who have committed suicide due to PTSD. That's pretty dark.

 

AJB was probably one of my favorite quest experiences ever. Having every ally seen taken away in incredibly unsettling ways, watching everyone scramble and panic debating whether or not they should continue, and then being left in silence and solitude with the Olmic Rune City music slowly fading in just set the tone of the quest perfectly. It still stands as one of the darkest moments in the game, as well as one of the most perfect build ups to the eye.

A couple of the new ultimate discoveries and gavel discoveries were pretty dark, too.

Spoiler: Spoilers for some discoveries/UD's

The realization that Gerts are just malformed, mentally degraded villagers was a huge shocker to me, the Olux factory related discoveries were really unsettling, given the mystery around Urelix and the factory as a whole--before the ending of the quest line, that is. The Gylia plains ultimate was pretty dark, too, watching a whole village be completely eviscerated by oncoming meteors; the music helped set the mood perfectly, too. And the Molten Heights ultimate discovery's ending was really unsettling, using the cave sounds and a really low pitch wither cry to simulate the screams of the frozen doguns, and then suddenly showcasing a full room of frozen doguns, all surrounding you in an empty, black abyss worked to give me shivers.

That sign needs to stay. Like all of Skien's island's signs if fits the theme of the area very well. Changing it would be a waste of something very unusual, even if it is gross.

 

I suppose it does show off the nature of the island well, even if it is the most disturbing minecraft sign imaginable

 

How big of a scam some of the merchant sold items are. Very dark stuff.
