Hotfix 1.20.2 - Hotfix #3

I did complete the quest yesterday with no troubles at all.

well for me what happened was i escaped the prison but did not complete the quest

 

it did complete, just that there’s a failsafe to prevent you from duping the rewards since it accidentally reset
so the message doesn’t appear

 

thank god for changes, i haven't been leveling up because the quests were all buggy

Aldorei's Secret Part I and Forbidden Prison became unfinished again after the fix

 

it’s a leftover issue from when there was a data-related bug. you can go back through and complete Forbidden Prison if you want (it should be safe to re-complete), however you won’t receive the major emerald/XP rewards. I wouldn’t try/recommend re-completing Aldorei’s Secret Part 1, however; I’m not entirely sure how that quest works and trying to go back through it might soft/hardlock you.

 

Can confirm Aldorei's Secret Part 1 is bugged. After you drink the potion from the cauldron, the footsteps don't appear, and the cutscene doesn't start when you head up the stairs.

 

makes sense, but in my quest book it still shows up as incomplete. i'm using wynntils so it might be because of that though.
