Allow me to introduce the gaming playstyle of poison hybrid

because of powder special abuse, poison hybrid dps is actually competitive and often exceeds conventional build (spellspam/cstack) dps

spell/fast melee poison hybrid has an additional advantage over heavy poison (nonshaman) of consistent poison procs -- because of the way poison builds work, to realize theoretical dps ingame requires you to poke the enemy right after the third poison tick expires to re-apply poison, and this can be hard if you have low mana and only have super slow main attack.

also its free damage what the heck
