This should be a lot less outdated than the thread if you want to use it instead. However, you really don't need to do professions at all on your first playthrough, since they take way too long for very little actual gameplay rewards. (Also do use questions section for questions yeah)

yeah dont actually do profs until youre like, lvl 105 or whatnot with a good handle on the game.

Joking aside there are multiple grind spot which depends on your mining level
Eg. 1-10 farm bronze mining node and so on, there’s a thread which you can find on which spot have a lot of mining nodes
