The Life Of Cataclysm

Cat didn’t know how he was made. All he knows is that in one broken down shack in the middle of a storm, he was there. Cat had no friends. Friends weren’t a necessity to power.

The year was 0 BP. Cat had been discovered asleep after training his electrocution skills. Cat awoke to being wielded by an old, frail man. He was filled with rage. How DARE I be used by this peasant! The old man was trying to use Cat to slice some berries! The audacity! Cat had never felt such power coursing through him, his rage had awoken a sense he didn’t know he had. He held onto this rage. It made him strong. Cat broke free of his weak wielder’s grip with no trouble at all. The man was dumbfounded. He built his rage. How dare he even be looked at by a peasant as low as this?!

Cat launched himself into the air. He looked at the man again. The pale, broken skin shone in the sunlight. Cat got even madder. He was filled with pure rage. He was filled with such an extreme energy that he couldn’t contain it! Lightning struck Cat. Storm clouds brewed. He was ready to release this unearthly energy.

Reality cracked. The ground was destroyed. There was no old man to be seen. Cat was lost in a rage of fury. Cat’s sheer force ripped holes in reality itself. A portal opened, it was a Cataclysm! The last thing Cat remembered as he fell unconscious was how much more power he wanted.

Cat didn’t know how long he was unconscious for. He didn’t know where he was. Cat awoke to find himself in some sort of box. He tried to escape but he was so incredibly tired from his explosion of power that he could barely move. Cat felt real terror for the first time. He couldn’t escape, and he was barely able to move!

Cat kept falling in and out of consciousness, he didn’t know how long passed. Every time he tried to escape, he flopped back down, too weak to move. It was after one of these attempts that he felt the box move! It seemed that he had been picked up. He heard alarms ringing. And voices.

‘Grats on stealin’ the treasure, you can board the airship through the window’.

Was Cat a treasure? Had he just been stolen? Cat felt amusement. I just got stolen like a lowly object, the embarrassment!. Cat felt the box open as he heard more voices. He did not pay attention to them. All his attention was focused on readying to escape. The box opened.. and... Cat couldn’t move! He hasn’t had enough time to get his energy back from his last attempt to escape! The box closed. He had lost his chance. Cat couldn’t bare it. He willed himself to sleep. The last thing that he heard was ‘tie this cataclysm-in-a-box much safer’.

Cat awoke to another box. This one was much larger and it was purple. Cat had never seen anything like it. The box possessed some form of magic, Cat was barely able to think, let alone move. Cat waited.

It wasn’t long when before he had his box opened. Cat saw a villager wearing a blue robe. Cat was still unable to move. He saw a human wearing bright blue armour, holding the open box. The villager suddenly spoke;

‘I pronounce it Cataclysm’.

Cat realised that the villager was calling him Cataclysm. He liked the name. He remembered when he created the portal. The human grabbed for Cataclysm. They wielded Cat with a glowing in their eyes.

Cat was still unable to move.


Cataclysm is now biding his time.
