    Enzan's Brother Quest Guide

    Introduction

Enzan's brother is a short level 1 quest. But don't let that throw you off, this quest is renowned as being the hardest and most difficult quest in the game. Many people have asked me to make a quest guide for this quest, as they have died/struggled doing it, or asked me to make an analysis on the lore of it, as it is one of the most, and in my opinion the most lore filled quest in all of Wynn. So let's get started!

    ***SPOILER WARNING***
As mentioned above, this quest contains a lot of lore, and I understand how people would want to experience it first hand. So if you are one of those people, I would recommend turning back now.

    Preparation

This quest is a very difficult quest, and I would HIGHLY recommend preparing for it. So let's begin by looking at the mobs.

    MOB #1 : Animated Shroom

The first mob that I will cover is the Animated Shroom. The Animated Shroom is level 2, with 18 health, making it a formidable opponent for all levels. But that's not the worst part. The Animated Shroom shoots projectiles, which do massive damage. The only way to kill this overpowered mob is to use a ranged weapon. If you are a warrior/assassin, there is no hope for you. If you are in the other classes, the danger isn't over yet. To defeat the Animated Shroom, you need a very heavy-hitting weapon, to prevent the Animated Shroom from hitting you.

    MOB #2 : ShroomBones

Contrary to popular belief, ShroomBones does not have a ranged attack, which means that if you have a ranged weapon it will be easier to deal with. It is a level 3 mob with 12 health, which means that you have a slightly bigger chance to defeat it.

    MOB #3 : Mushroom Pigman

The Mushroom Pigman is the most formidable mob in the entire cave. It has 30 health, and level 6. On top of that, it has a speed greater than the ShroomBones and the AnimatedShroom. Just getting the picture you see above took me 3 weeks, as I kept getting one shot by it. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS MOB UNLESS YOU ARE AT LEAST LEVEL 106. I made the mistake of doing it at the low low level of 96 and I regret it to this day.

    BOSS FIGHT: ENERGIZED MUSHROOM

This boss fight is the hardest in the game. I still shiver and jump when I hear the phrase "Energized Mushroom". Just getting this picture took a party of 18 level 106's , which I will get on about later. This mob has is level 7 and has 25 health. Though it is weaker than the Mushroom Pigman, while you try to hit it the other mobs will attack you. Even though I attempted it with a party of 18, I would recommend at least 25.

    BUILDS

    ARCHER:

I would recommend the bow stinger from the orange wybel boss altar, which requires level 95. The wybel, which has a pitiful health of 500,00, should be very easy compared to this quest.

    MAGE:

I would use singularity. This mythic weapon can be obtained through loot chests, so I recommend spending a couple of years lootrunning to get it. Trust me, the slightest chance of beating the Energized Mushroom is worth it

    SHAMAN:

For shaman, I would recommend hadal. It gives decent damage, and it will give you a chance to defeat the Energized Mushroom.

I would also recommend putting all your skill points on agility so that the Animated Shroom's deadly attack has a chance to miss.

    OTHER ITEMS

    - Another item I will recommend is a white horse. You will have to travel between Ragni and the Emerald Trail, which is a FULL 200 BLOCKS.

    - Obviously, a full inventory of healing potions is also needed, but I think you got that already.

    ACTUAL QUEST

Once you have obtained your mythic build and party of 25, you can start to attempt the quest. You must go to Ragni first, which if your party isn't there already, you will need to get teleport scrolls. A ragni scroll is 8 emeralds, so prepare that before as well.

    STEP 1:
Talk to Enzan close to the exit of Ragni at [-772, 67, -1572]

Enzan is close to the main exit of Ragni.

    STEP 2:
Find Enzan's brother near the Item Identifier on the Emerald Trail at [-536, 67, -1589]

Enzan's brother is a whole 200 blocks away from Enzan, so I would recommend to get your white horse and get prepared for the long road ahead.

    STEP 3:
Descend into the cave at [-538, 67, -1586] and bring 1 Energy Mushroom to Therck.

Now this is the hard part. After spending about 2 hours riding to this location, you now must do the boss fight. Descend into the cave with your party of 20, and start fighting.

    TIPS FOR THE FIGHT:

    1. I would recommend assigning roles to everyone, as some people defend you, while others are making sure that the Energy Mushroom has not dissapeard

    2. You need to get AT LEAST 2 stacks of energy mushrooms, which might take up to 30 minutes, but in case the quest glitches, you need to be prepared as going down in the cave is too hard.

    3. The Energized Mushroom is at the end of the corridor. Refer to above to see what it does and how to defeat it.

Once you are complete, keep the extra Energy Mushroom as a trophy, to show your friends and guild that you have finished Enzan's Brother.

LORE + ANALYSIS OF THE CHARACTERS

The lore in Enzan's brother is beautiful. It tells a heart-wrenching story of two brothers, separated by war and drug abuse, and the willingness of human's to achieve goals driven by addiction.

So let's start with the first dialogue.

    • Enzan: I see you want to venture into the wilderness!
This first line shows how smart Enzan is, and how he can tell from the player's face that he wants to explore.

    • Enzan: My name is Enzan, and I am now a retired knight. I've spent most of my life fighting for Ragni's army, just like you.
This line develops a connection between Enzan and the player and brings sorrow of how this man has spent his entire life in a war that has ravaged communities and killed thousands.

    • Enzan: I know how hard it must be to be a recruit at this time, so I've got something that could help you! Well, I don't have it, but my brother does!
This line introduces Enzan's Brother, the supporting character of this beautifully crafted quest. It shows how they are very good friends, and how excited Enzan is to introduce you to his brother. It really starts making players feel pity for the character, and start a fire in their heart to help Enzan.
    • Enzan: Follow this road, he's just past the item identifier, you can't miss him. Just head to the big set of stairs, past the item identifier.
Another genius line. Enzan meticulously tells the player where his brother is, once again strengthening their bond. In just this simple line, he has managed to pack so much information on the long road that is ahead.

Enzan: Tell him I sent you! He can be such a jerk to strangers sometimes, especially when he's focused on his stairs...

This line is where the pity for Enzan expands to his brother. You can tell that Enzan and his brother are very connected, despite his brother sometimes being a jerk. Enzan defends his brother, even if his brother's actions are unacceptable. It also introduces the addiction that his brother is going through, his addiction to stairs...

    • Therck: Excuse me? Can't you see I'm busy?
    • Therck: Oh, my brother? Sorry, I didn't know.

These 2 lines show how Therk matches the persona that Enzan has told you, of how he is a jerk. But once you mention his brother, he instantly softens, making even the strongest players shed tears in the beautiful bond that they have.

    • Therck: Why yes, I actually have something that could help you...
    • Therck: But before I give it to you, why don't you help me with something first?

These lines start the adventure that the player is about to take, and the glory and prize of what to be achieved at the end.

    • Therck: You see, there's a special kind of mushroom that grows in this cave. I hear it has certain... energizing properties.
This line once again is sad. It develops the theory that Therk is addicted to not only stairs, but the energizing mushroom as well. It develops a great connection between all the characters.

    • Therck: If you can bring me [1 Energy Mushroom], I'll help you out. Enter the cave down the stairs, and bring me that mushroom!
Therk sends you on a quest to retrieve the substance.

    • Therck: Ah, you're back! Do you have the mushroom?
    • Therck: Excellent... Now I might be able to finally climb these stairs!

Now I have a theory for these lines, which I will mention in the next section.

    • Therck: Who knows, maybe there's a treasure up there?
This line shows the greed of humanity, manifested as this simple character "Therk". It shows how much humanity will struggle to obtain materialistic wealth, and how in the end, we will all meet our doom from this.

    • Therck: Take this ring. It's an accessory item! You can identify it at the nearby Item Identifier.
Another genius line from the developers of Wynn. It beautifully tells the player the idea of accessories, and how to obtain and use them.

    • Therck: It's a very good ring for someone starting out like you. There's just one small issue...
    • Therck: To wear it, you must help my friend back in Ragni. He's been pestering me for days about needing help.
Now, these lines spark mystery. Questions such as "Why must I help this "friend" of Therk's? Why is he pestering Therk? All these questions sprout anger as there might be people bullying Therk because of his addiction to stairs and mushrooms.

    • Therck: Open your [Quest Book] and Right Cick on the Cook Assistant to see if you can help.
And finally the conclusion. After this line, we never get to speak to Therk ever again. So Sad.

    THEORIES

    1. When Therk mentions how he needs the mushroom to climb the stairs, I was very confused for a second. For most of the quest, I thought Therk loved the stairs. He loved how they looked, how they smelled, how they tasted. But now, we see how Therk just likes the stairs because of the treasure above, as mentioned later. This once again shows how humans can value an object, or another human being, only for its uses and not its other characteristics.

I hope this guide helped you in completing Enzan's Brother!

do you think you could do a guide for ??? i know it's one of the simplest, most straightforward quests in the game, but it would really help the small minority grouo of players who don't know how to beat it.

I like to prioritize harder quests, over simple ones. I might do it after I finish making a guide and analysis on the 2nd and 3rd hardest quests in the game, 'poisining the pest" and " Cook Assistant"
