What Class Has The Highest Damage Output

So I’m new and wanted to know which class had the highest damage output

 

Shaman and Assassin are tied for damage in the class guide:

Shaman has really high AoE damage output but Archer gets the most single target.

 

Assassin or archer I would say, depends on the items you use

Except this is not really that universal.

 

Practically speaking: Archer, 1000% archer
(The only exception to this might be cataclysm assassin, but that's obviously a special case. And idk if that would be practically speaking since cata tends to be decently glassy)

Spoiler: My Reasoning If Anyone Cares

Archer melee is the only one that still procs on powder special activation, meaning more powder specials. Archer melee is also long range, so no having to get close to activate it, and procs on landing, meaning curse is easy to use. This means Archer can cursestack even without time rift, and if you add time rift it gets even crazier

Not to mention arrow storm's incredible damage, along with bomb arrow also being no joke.
