Professions Useful At All?

So I’m lvl 51 rn and I’m waiting for my friend to catch up and decided to look into professions. I only did a bit so far, but to me it looks kinda like skills in hypixel skyblock (which are fun) but less grindy.
It looks kinda fun but is it worth it to do them and do they give anything useful? I’m probably not gonna do any of them to 100 or anything yet but still kinda curious cause I don’t wanna waste my time and I need something to do so I don’t get too far to the point where my friend can’t catch up

I’m bored and I want to do something while my friend catches up so r professions worth it to do

 

Yes but only in the endgame though, don't bother with it in the early/mid-game.

 

Ok thx I’ll prob just do til 20 or so on them for the few quest reqs and then grind other stuff

 

They can be profitable in the lategame and they also can give you some pretty good gear and consumables, but they're extremely grindy. If that's fine with you though, they can be worth it as long as you grind a lot.

 

They're extremely time-consuming to max out, but can be worthwhile once you hit end-game.

If you're going for a powerful crafted item and think spending the time to grind is more worthwhile than paying others who have for the materials, then do it once you've completed max level.
