Lari is Dern Beast confirmed?!?!

Let's review the facts.

• Lari is a pacifist while Orphion believes death is necessary (contrasting light/dark)
• Lari, in a neutral state, has blueish-purpleish eyes, and the Eye has blueish-purplish eyes (similar to dern beast)
• Orphion says stop her in ONL raid (lari is female)

Note that "Lari" can be separated into "lar" and "i". In Irish, "lar" means "middle". "i", of course, is a synophone to "eye". The Eye is central to/representative of Dern Beast, and Lari's name means "middle eye".

You might say: "well lari is orphion chosen one"

If this theory turns out to be right I'm gonna scream when I get round to the quest that confirms it. Like I feel it would be a big-brain(TM) twist that no one would expect if this theory didn't show up.

 

my brain WHY

 

I'm guessing she's a reincarnation of the Dern Beast. Maybe the Dern Beast died without anybody knowing it at all, so she reincarnated into a sassy elf. I'm guessing Dern Beast wants to end the war, so she's attempting to save Orphion to restore balance. Because nobody knew Dern Beast is dead, it makes sense why Orphion thought it would be a good idea to make Lari the chosen one and why Bak'al attacked Lari. This also proves the theory that Dern Beast is a girl.

 

It'd actually make a lot of sense if Lari was the Dern beast somehow.
1. She allowed the spread of darkness to happen in Gavel
Lari is the one who could've and should've destroyed the parasite but she didn't. However, this makes more sense if she was an agent of darkness, as she just allowed it to happen.

2. Attempts to stop the player from actually doing what actually helps Orphion
She knows that the player is now Orphion's new light but she adamantly does not want the player to be the new light. If she was an agent of darkness, then this makes a lot of sense because her whole purpose is to sabotage Orphion.

3. All of her "attempts" at stopping the darkness do nothing
She's either really really incompetent or she's sabotaging Orphion and not helping him and blaming it on her incompetence.

4. She returns to dern at the end of RoL V when she sees that she can no longer sabotage because the player is the new light
Without a reason to be there, Lari follows Bak'al back to Dern, presumably to reunite with the dern beast.

5. She allows Dullahan to get infected by the darkness, gets him killed, then revives him to cause terror on all of Gavel
If you look at it from the context of Lari being a secret agent of the dern beast then this makes perfect sense. She allows her friend to get infected, knowing he'll become an evil monster. However, she finds out that being infected doesn't turn him into a monster, he has to be revived first. So she tells the villagers that the monster responsible for the decay is at the camp, which allows the villagers to find and kill Dullahan. Dullahan is then revived, becoming evil and killing people.

Nah, it's unlikely. I mean, when Theorik can sense the dark presence of the player in AHC, why should Orphion not recognise the Dern Beast when they know each other very well. No matter how good your mask is, you can't keep an act for over a millenium.

Theorick says he can feel a "horrendous strength". Not necessarily meaning that he senses a corrupted's strength. Also, in the cutscene, the player is a corrupted (presumably a zombie or some more powerful type of zombie, more similar to bak'al himself) and not something of darkness. Corruption is separate from Dern. Bak'al chooses to serve Dern Beast, and Bak'al is merely a corrupted, and does not represent the entirety of corruption.
