Warrior/Knight Apocalypse Warrior Endgame Build

I haven’t played in a long time (last played actively early 2018), but I just got back into the game and wanted to play through as a warrior. I’m no where near endgame yet, but I still have a bunch of stuff held over from my other accounts and I was able to put together this build (I have an Apoc from when I used to play). Would it be a viable endgame nowadays (I don’t really know the new items, fabled items, crafting, meta mythics etc.)? If not, how should I change it? Thanks!

I'm not the person to ask about the viability of warrior archetypes but:

Basic Heavy Melee (stacking high raw melee items to slap things really hard)

Can use greaves of veneer instead for more tankiness and less damage, mix and match accessories for your preferred stats.

Here's a tier stack, someone can probably make a better one but this does work. Powder for elemental defenses.

If you're going Tierstack (Which I wouldn't recommend since Heavy Melee looks a lot stronger), Nether's Scar has more EHP.

Honestly, apoc isn't the best item rn because of lifesteal just being absolute trash. It's difficult to stay alive in solo mob boss fights or fights without a ton of adds. You're also gonna take a lot more damage since you have to be basically right next to the mob. Apoc is used more for tierstack than for heavy melee (which is commonly done on assassin) but with that said here's an apoc hmelee build:

300k EHP :blobsweat: . It looks pretty nice but probably would still use heavy melee apoc over it as it gets more damage though and you are not constantly attacking.

 

nethscar works but you get less lifesteal and more -hpr

 

If you want to be indestructible, this will work. It's by no means optimal, but can keep you alive through virtually anything.

Most people would recommend earth power for it I believe (for quake), but I'm partial to fire.

 

In heavy melee people generally powder quake since it gets double damage then if you did anything else. Only time I've seen people not powder Quake in Heavy Melee is when they didn't have like any idea how powerful it was.

 

I go with fire because apoc has a high enough base damage that the bonus from courage can actually close the gap pretty well. I'm not sure how the exact numbers compare, but quake certainly does more.

 

The problem with the courage bonus is that it will not affect raw melee, which is where most of your damage is coming from.

With fire powdering, you're doing (22423*4)/8 ( courage boosted damage per hit*hits you can do over 8 seconds)/(8 seconds)=11211.5 dps (And this assumes constant courage uptime)

With earth powdering: ((20189*3)+83805)/8 ((damage per hit*your normal hits over 8 seconds)+quake)/(8 seconds)=18046.5 dps

Fixed it to be over 8 seconds, my original calcs were for 6 seconds for some stupid reason

 

I thought courage boosted all as well. In that case quake is much better.

 

Curse and courage work exactly the same as %spell or %melee (Except that they can affect poison)

Thus they do not affect raw spell or raw melee

 

Annoying.

 

Getting the word out there: Chain lightning is also good for heavy melee, comparable damage (300% rather than 415%) but easier to hit many enemies with, especially good for heavy hybrid builds because mana steal procs from chain lightning.

 

Here is my old apoc build. Used it for a long time and has enough life steal to just about face tank anything. Fast attack speed lets you have a higher chance to activate life steal per slap with some dps boost from endurance on the armor(I used t5s because t6s are expensive ;) ). Honestly it doesn't look too great on paper but trust me it makes most bosses be on easy mode(if you have the patience for braindead left clicking)
