SPOILER What The Hell Is The Mysterious Egg?

Originally I was going to make this thread be another hunt thread ''hunt for the mysterious egg purpose'' or something when I realised that the function of this egg may not be ingame yet

To explain it, the Mysterious Egg is an item obtained at the end of the dark forest ultimate discovery. The description says that maybe someone could find a use for it. It has been known since the Beta and yet not a single person has figured out what it does. I decided I'd bring it some attention with this thread so that there's more people looking for what it does. Keep in mind its function may not be added yet.

 

Thats because it doesn't do anything yet.

 

Will play a more important role in the future, I mean you got a creature of Dern in your possesion - maybe it will be the key to destroy all of them/weaken them at least.

 

Or treat yourself to a tasty meal full of nutrients and dark energies

Didn't I just tell you I went mad? Anyway the first 2 things were just randomness but the rest are actual possible speculations I came up with.

True... I was using secret discs to level and started clicking everywhere in the dark forest’s ultimate disc and got the egg...

I had a feeling that walking somewhere with that in your inv can screw you over big-time, so I put it in my bank.



...Now that I think about it, a very dark item could show activity in absolute light or absolute dark...

So I would guess an Easter “egg” could be found somewhere in the realm of light, the silent expanse, or even the Nexus of Light.

I think Orphion might have something interesting to say about the seed of the decay.

 

Well it's a secret discovery item i doubt it will be used for something in the main game more of a secret and not related to the main story
