Just "finished" this one two minutes ago.

I opted not to remove the imperfections and just decided to upload the incomplete one because the primary focus is a bit more of a tech demo rather than the sound, so leaving in some imperfections to show limitations is always neat ^_^

    Anyway nerd talk time:

I decided this time to record a full String Ensemble - Approximately 5 Octaves, composed of 34 Custom samples, with 3 articulations (Main Legatos, Spiccatos, Low Strings Pizzicato)
    upload_2021-2-24_21-34-34.png

Each sustain sample was recorded with true sustain samples.
    - At 5 different speeds

    "r" - Runs Sustains - 0.1s
    "a" - Short Bar Sustains - 0.25s
    "b" - Medium Bar Sustains - 0.5s
    "c" - Long Bar Sustains - 1s
    "d" - Long Two Bar Sustains - 2s

That means optimally every note played is within 4 whole steps of a real sample, and is within 0.25s of length.

The flute also is recorded in this style. Every other instrument just has one sample because I was lazy and I would drive myself insane doing that to the rest of them.

Of course it's not perfect, mostly due to human error as I have to manually select every sample to pick and I just did a first pass so sometimes I chose ones that are too long, or too short.

That's also why these take so long, approximately an hour just to select the samples for 1 minute for one instrument. The rest of the song is a total bop so I wish I could've finished it, but it woulda taken me so many hours. Maybe sometime later. (A full orchestra for 1 minute would be like 3 hours of work, samples alone)

Anyway rambling over, hope you enjoy
