Skill Point Help

I started playing Wynncraft today and while I was doing the part of the intro where you have to find the axe and use the tree as a bridge I decided I would chop down some extra trees to level up my tree chopping skill thingy. I got to level 7 in woodcutting but after the tutorial I didn't get any skill points from the levels. Do you just not get points from skills in the tutorial or something?

 

You do not receive skill points from woodcutting and professions like those. You only receive skill points from leveling up your combat level.

you do not get skill points from woodcutting , armoring , tailoring ect. you only get skill points from combat levels , so i suggest you do quests when your supposed to , unlike me i took the fun out of and doing some quests such as potion making at level 40 when the guy at the end was a one shot , so yeah , do quests when your the level , or grind mobs at grind spots , you can find some on the online map , https://map.wynncraft.com/#/-1583/64/-1657/-5/wynn-main/Wynncraft
