What Should My Strategy Be As A Glassy Assassin?

I recently got this glassy cataclysm build and the problem is almost every mob can kill me in around 1 to 3 hits. What I mean by this is that when I'm usually in a boss fight I might be fine the entire time, I'm chipping away at it's health and I'm at either high or even max health. Then out of nowhere the boss ends up comboing me to death at fucking light speed in a second. I'm not even joking, one second I might be fine at a moderate distance away and the next second I'm dead or just took a massive amount of damage.

Anyways my playstyle is either staying at a far distance away from the boss and occasionally zooming in with vanish or just going in circles around comboing it.

I have something closer to 7k base health since my cataclysm isn't that maxed.

 

In all seriousness, if you have 7K HP this makes your EHP about 147K rather than 35K with your build. Multiplying your EHP by more than 4.

Other than that, zooming in and out with vanish is already the best thing to do. Best other thing you can do is git gud.

Also this doesn't seem glassy to me at all, by a rough estimate I'd guess that you still have over 30k EHP with 7k HP, which is completely fine. The only thing i'd be worried about is your mana sustain, which can leave you in bad situations with no sprint or way to run while you get comboed. But, what you've told, it seems that this issue still exists.

My general strategy as an Assassin is just to keep my mana up, cycle spells quickly (often vanish-spin-vanish-spin while having a bomb up, and always mixing in melee hits when i can to proc ls/ms on spellsteal), cast Vanish very quickly when I want to run, always run when I see spell particles, and just have a good overrall view of what's happening in the arena. On glassy builds, always take safety as a priority and see that the enemies can't get good "damage windows" to hit you. If it looks like the boss is about to cast some big spell combo, be ready to dodge and cast Vanish at all times.
