Rise Of The Quartron - Can't Charge Quartz

I made a bug report, but I literally just created this account and am not entirely sure where to go for this, so I'm posting here too. (I tend to ramble/overexplain, so sorry if this is too long of a first post)

So I think this may be a result of a respawn glitch, but nothing happens when I right-click the charging station with the quartz piece.

Basically, I was in stage 8 of the quest at the meeting. I had chat open to read dialogue and was caught off guard by the guards attacking you. By the time I closed out of chat, I was in a corner and swarmed so I pretty much died immediately.

Here's where it gets weird: For some reason, I respawned all the way in TERNAVUS of all places and had to make my way back to the quartz mansion. (had a Selchar scroll on me, then rode the seaskipper back to Llevigar). The dialogue that pops up while you're fighting the guards still popped up though, which was odd considering I wasn't anywhere near them anymore.

I could still summon the minecart that leads you to the secret entrance (which triggered Popo's dialogue again. Can't do it anymore), but now I can't charge the quartz. The wiki says some thought dialogue is supposed to pop up when you approach the lab door hinting at what you're supposed to do, but that's not showing up either.

I tried /class, logging out of 1.16.5 and coming back in 1.12.2, but nothing's working. My quest goal says "break into the laboratory and stop Harnort" but I can't break into the lab if I can't charge the quartz.

Maybe a mod could reset that one quest for me somehow? (the whole thing or at least back a stage? idk if they can do that. Just throwing it out there) Or if there's anything else I can do, please let me know, because I can't finish the quest otherwise.

So I was under the impression that bug reports were just sent to mods and just saw both my things in the 'latest'. I promise I'm not trying to spam! still getting used to how this site works.

 

Welp. I guess I'll update here, too. I've finished the quest.

While I still couldn't use the quartz charging machine, I decided to just teleport at the door just for the heck of it.

...and it worked. a glitch to fix a glitch I guess? No idea. Not really an issue unless you consider skipping going up stairs and charging some quartz an exploit. Again, don't know if it was just me or what, but I won't forever have an unfinished quest in my quest book so all's well that ends well, I guess.

 

I am having the same issue with my sky seer, but using soar next to the door is not allowing me to glitch thru, wondering if there is any way for me to fix this at all

 

Same , Its not letting me either I dont know what to do.

 

I have also encountered this issue, and can't glitch through the door. Not really sure what to do here

 

I have the same problem, and a lot of other people doing the same quest at that time also had :/ I really don't know what to do but if anyone does I would love to hear it

Just wait for the next patch to fix it.

 

there is a way to get in. my friend, who died during the guard fight and wasn't able to charge the quartz, pushed his horse into the door and mounted the horse and glitched thru the door and was able to finish the quest.

 

Please don't encourage abusing glitches.

the horse strat worked for me too. its the only way other than teleporting

 

Hi I had the same issue too, There was a server reset and the door didn't open, I ended up /killing and also ended up in Ternaves. I'm an archer so I guess I won't be teleporting.

 

As said above, please don't encourage glitches. It's just one quest, while I understand how frustrating this is you have to be patient and wait for a fix. Hopefully the ct will fix it soon, for now id suggest move on to other things and leave the quest alone.
