Heavy Melee uses the power of your main attack to yeet foes out of existence with one punch. No special effects, no special projectiles, just sheer force. And sheer force is required to open rifts into different dimensions, allowing you to sneak into places like Dern and basically surpass the watch of the Eye, who is guarding what people think is the only way into Dern, allowing you to skip a ton of plot fast, allow the AJB team to live, and access 1.21 (1.22?) early.

While I know that the thread isn't serious

Heavy Melee often has spell as a side utility, to assist and make your hits actually lands. That is also the reason mana steal is often on heavy melee items.
