i like this build but i want to see if you can reach higher jh xD

for builders, here's every request from page 185 onwards that hasn't been covered yet

apologies to requesters, build aid seems a bit backed up. i need to frequent this a bit more ;-;

nebulous isn't important, it can sub for whatever you find convenient. sacra is your mr switch-in if your freedom is 1mr.

as for spring, i'm not sure where on the damage/defense continuum you want it, or whether you're okay with trift, but here's a starting point you could comment on. mpc's open if your spring is tragic but you should be okay.

the evolved isn't a good idea since it relies on poison (notice its low base damage). here's an ewa olily though [edit: further note], lmk if you want me to adjust it to accommodate some poison as well.

playstyle: very glass cannon
restrictions: not really any, i just want something that does a fuck ton of damage
preferences i'd like if the build used singularity and if it uses another mythic please have it under 1 stx

assassin: 103
playstyle: also glass cannon
restrictions: I want the build to some survivability
preferences: the build uses either cataclysm or nirvana and same thing with mage if it uses another mythic

I also don't care if the build is melee or spellspam

Pretty glassy cataclysm, it's definitely harder to get some survivability on cata, so i'll try nirv.

Pretty high damage for nirv, but again pretty glassy. You might want to swap steamjet to ex nihilo for more ehp, if you feel like that's too glassy.

 

Wow, this explanation helps a lot actually, and I just read the efficiency analysis before reading your comment lol.

While I'm here, I have a question about the damage build you gave me.
Having 2-cost meteors and 1-cost snakes it seems like a total of 10 mana from regen/steal seems ridiculously high.
What about the build I was given initially? All he did was add in dragon's eye bracelet to half the cost of a meteor, which is about a ~20% cost reduction in a full cycle of (meteor-meteor-snake-melee) (2-2-1-0) to (1-1-1-0). I'm not sure how long it takes to complete this 5 or 3 mana cycle but 10 mr/ms + the natural 5 regen seems like an overkill on the mana department.

The build he gave me has 16.5k meteors and 37k ehp while your water version is 16.3k meteors and 34k ehp. Assuming both have enough mana to complete cycles at the same rate, I don't see why there isn't a super effective cross build here. If we were to start from your build you could add in dragon bracelet to completely remove the need for items with damage id's and mana id's. In it's place I would presume you could just find items with more damage id's, no?

Let me know of these ideas... I'm sure this vague version of a build is much easier said than done since there isn't an item that gives you exactly what you want.

 

Here's the thing... Those are assuming perfect rolls. I don't like builds as much if they require perfect rolls to be good. To have 10 total mana sustain you'd have to get a 4/4ms adrenaline and a 3/4 mr plus -2/4 ms pro tempore. Getting perfect mana on all items while still having really good % and raw spell rolls is super hard. My in-game build only has 8/4 mr and 0 ms due to an imperfect pro tempore, but this wiggle room is good so you can preferentially use items with good damages but imperfect mana. Moreover, I still at times run out of mana with 8/4 mr + 5/4 natural, especially in harder content like eo and tcc. This can happen if you need to spam heal or simply if you mess up a spell cycle (especially easy with lag). With just above 6cps you'll use nearly 13 mana/sec, which is what I'm at with non-perfect rolls. I actually feel like I'd like more mana sometimes. It's much better in my mind to have leeway for imperfect play (or just plain lag). I also personally don't like relying on ms if I can use mr instead, although, to be fair, you can usually get better numbers (such as with event horizon spellsteal).

Also, if you cast 2 meteors in a row quickly, you'd cast 2 meteors in 1 second. Doing this would actually cancel the first meteor while it's falling, before it deals any damage. For this reason, I prefer snake-meteor-melee repeat.

As for your idea, it sounds nice, but much harder to actually build in practice. If someone wants to improve this build like he says, I'd very much welcome it. But, as you said, "much easier said than done since there isn't an item that gives you exactly what you want."

 

Good point, I completely forgot that the builds assume perfect rolls.
Especially since I plan on doing relatively budget rolls, this definitely helps.
