Yeah it isn't beating you up at all because Freedom's damage has literally doubled.

 

hope this won't get buried but i'm gonna try to explain it real quick after the funny meme

strength and dexterity have been hugely underperforming as pure skill points, and it's practically impossible to make earth and/or thunder have some sort of monopoly on damage. this update has been a long wanted change to make them worth investing extra skill points into and generally allow them to actually be the extra damage skill points they were meant to be. we're glad this is now in the game. we have barely had any time to even start rebalancing in response to this change though, and as this is a mechanical change of a magnitude basically unseen before, i genuinely can't say what will happen other than that we're probably gonna have to postpone any other plans we were working on for a while

 

From what I'm seeing rn the only builds that really need to be nerfed are ones that use strength and dex for the most part, but that honestly could be balanced by fixing how dex and strength interact with each other.

 

Also every item with +offensive sp needs to be rebalanced because the power level of those has drastically changed.

As much as I think str/dex need some sort or fix, this is such a huge change that affects nearly every build that I think it will do a lot of much harm to the current item designs. All tris except WFA include a decent amount of str/dex, and even those not heavily invested in offensive sp will see a large damage buff. Even relatively defensive builds will be shredding enemies significantly faster. Content in wynn will be much easier, until almost every item in the game is rebalanced. Not only does it seem like this will just lead to widespread base dmg reductions that will leave WFA in the dust, but it will also destroy the design of a lot of items that give +offensive sp unless the base damage nerfs are large enough. I also worry that poison will be much less good, unless strong items are rebalanced to have around the same final dps as now (even if poison gains the ability to crit, poison lacks any other way to boost the dmg multiplicatively that str then multiplies).

I'd be interested to hear what general direction the item team tends to take with this change. Will nerfs to every item bring the new damage thresholds in line with how strong dps builds are now, giving wfa amd tanky builds less damage than now to compensate for their tankiness, will tanky builds keep their current dps and will E and T items just get nerfed hard to keep dmg normalized, or will str/dex supporting items get smaller nerfs leaving offensive builds to still do significantly more damage than now?

They release all these super big fixes for guilds but any other changes are overshadowed by the sheer craziness that is the str/dex changes lmao
