*slams Desk* Let's Talk Music!

Since I'm a Musician i thought it would be hella interesting to see what kind of instruments you guys play! Also i'd love to talk about gear and stuff, if you don't play an instrument yourself feel free to share any thoughts on music genres or even bands :)

remember that music is a form of art and as all art beauty lies in the beholders eye, don't wanna spark a warzone here :o

So, i think it's only fair if i start shall I?
- I'm playing drums for about 10 years and since i founded my band roughly 1.5 years ago (where i'm on vocals) i also started taking lessions on vocals, haven't had drum lessions in years, i'm learning on my own now
-genre wise i basically listen to most harder metal (deathmetal/core) but since i'm taking lessions i really started to ease up on all other kind of performed music (basically all except the electronic stuff, just can't enjoy it)
-bands? been diggin' amon amarth a LOT lately
-festivals? bring 'em back plz :3

if anyone has further questions about me feel free to ask, i'm an open book, amped what you guys have to say ^^

 

I like metal music (big fan of avenged sevenfold and pinkly smooth) been hearing their music for 4-5 years now and still enjoying
Always been a fan of drums because my dad is drumming as a hobby, always wanted to pick up drums but sadly never really got to do that yet

 

why didn't you get to it? it's never too late to start :)

I'd give a try to their old stuff.
I didn't really like portnoy more of a fan of their old stuff (the rev was an absolute genius imo)
I know that people like them less now because they changed since the rev died but i still find their work great

 

might take a listen, not really my taste either though

old stuff is the name of the game in soooo many bands

I do enjoy there new stuff, just know people who don't
Looking at it not from a point of if that's not heavtmy metal i hate it

artistically speaking they always were masters at their work, no matter the type of music they just happened to release, i just dont like to listen to it as much
