Tip If You're Trying To Get Every World Discovery

Hey! This is just a little thing that probably won't matter to 99% of people but I still thought was worth sharing.

If you're like me and love trying to explore all the content in Wynncraft, and if you use Wynntils, you've probably checked out the discoveries tab in the Wynntils questbook, and maybe even decided to try and get all of them!

Prior to 1.20's release, I had every territory, world, and secret discovery in the game. After 1.20, a few discoveries were randomly reset and lots more were added as well, so I decided to go through and 100% the discoveries again on my main class. I ended up finding the last few territory discoveries that were new or had their names changed despite them not currently being listed on Wynntils (Aldorei Waterfall, Ava's Workshop, Final Step, etc) but was ONE WORLD DISCOVERY OFF of completing them all.

Here's the weird part. Wynntils displayed that I had no missing World Discoveries. I went through the book and it had 145 listed. The counter on the default Wynncraft questbook said I had 144/145 world discoveries despite this. This meant that either the one I was missing was new, or was a randomly reset discovery. I ended up running through Every World Discovery In The Game a second time post-1.20, and still couldn't find it.

Here's what was happening. One of the new world discoveries, Bottomless Pit, has a level requirement of 101. I remember being in a voice call when I was looking for the last world discovery the first time, before my game-wide sweep, and someone reminded me that boss altars have world discoveries in them. I went and got the discovery from the altar, and my counter STILL listed one as missing. I thought this was just a wynntils bug, but really this should have been what set me off. The world discovery counter for on the questbook only lists discoveries UP TO LEVEL 100, not above that! The actual correct total of world discoveries is 146, not 145.

This will be fixed in the future, and obviously isn't a big deal to most players. But for now, if you're trying to get all the discoveries in the game... There are 146 world discoveries despite the game only listing 145.

And the one I actually was missing? Monument of Siegfried, a new world discovery southeast of Cinfras. It didn't show up on wynntils because it was added this update.

As someone who got 100% of discoveries prior to 1.20, this is nice to know.

By the way, do you know if it's possible to trade the Siegfried monument key between classes? because I accidentally let Siegfried die on my main class.

Is there a list of new world discoveries in 1.20? I have 78/80 for 51-100, and thanks to this thread I think one of them is the Monument to Siegfried, but I don't know what the other one is

No idea if you can trade the key, but...

You don't need the key for the discovery. Just approach the place the key would be used.

Not yet as far as I know. I'd recommend trying Fallen Factory? That one reset for me and I had to get it again. The discovery for it is just by the entrance, you don't need to do the dungeon.

But there isn't a secret discovery or anything once you enter the monument using the key?

For anyone trying to get 100%, off the top of my head I know you also need the three raids entrances

 

No, I've done all the secret discovs and there aren't any there.
