SPOILER 1.20 Clock Mystery Guide

So, as some of you may know, the infamous ‘Clock Mystery’ over in Gavel was recently updated in 1.20.

It’s currently only partially done, but is expected to be fully released soon.

I decided to provide a tutorial with how to get as far as possible in the Clock Mystery thus far, so here you go.

Spoiler: Llevigar’s Dusty Clock

Prerequisites: None.
(You won't need any items before this to obtain Llevigar's Dusty Clock).

So first what you want to do is come over to around here (-2074 77 -4489), and enter the building in front of you;


Next you’ll enter the building and go over to around here (-2141 78 -4527), and In front of you will be Llevigar’s Dusty Clock, kill it and grab the dropped item;

Spoiler: Karoc’s Cracked Clock

Prerequisites: None
(You won't need any items before this to obtain Karoc's Cracked Clock).

What you want to do first with this clock is what over into Karoc Quarry and head over to around here (-1629 50 -4386). Right around her you should see a TNT sparkling green in a small TNT pile, right click it to pick it up;


Next, go over to the nearby cave around here (-1639 57 -4412), and enter it;


A bit deeper into the cave there will be a cave in at around here (-1615 56 -4414) glowing with the same green particles as the TNT, right click it while holding the TNT;


Here the cave in will explode, revealing behind it a room with a dead miner on the ground holding the clock at around here (-1601 54 -4413). Right click on the body and you’ll get a bit of dialogue, then Karoc’s Cracked Clock shortly after;

Spoiler: Olux's Old Clock

Prerequisites: 2 emerald blocks.
(You'll need two emerald blocks to acquire Olux's Old Clock).

For this one what you first have to do is go to around here (-1757 66 -5513), around this spot there is an alleyway between a house and the blacksmith, walk down it;


As you walk down it you'll come across a merchant aptly named "Olux Merchant" at around here (-1770 66 -5515). Upon right clicking on him he'll give you a bit of dialogue and offer to sell Olux's Old Clock for 2 emerald blocks. Once he's done talking; right click on him again with the emerald blocks in hand and you'll get a bit of dialogue and then Olux's Old Clock;

NOTE: Step one is required here, as the Olux Merchant only spawns in at a certain trigger area.

Spoiler: Gelibord's Rusted Clock

Prerequisites: None
(You won't need any items before this to obtain Gelibord's Rusted Clock).

At around here (-1241 48 -5250) is the entrance to a cemetery, situated next to the Memory Paranoia mansion, you want to enter this cemetery;


Go over to around here (-1200 44 -5251) in the cemetary, and there will be a sparkling grave;


You then want to go up to the sparkling grave, and right click on it. A small animation will then play showing the grave being dug up real time. Once it's dug up Gelibord's Rusted Clock will pop out, then you just have to kill it and grab the item;

NOTE: Step one is required here, as I think there's some kind of trigger area for this, but I cannot exactly pinpoint it.

Spoiler: The Shiar's Maddening Clock

Prerequisites: None
(You won't need any items before this to obtain The Shiar's Maddening Clock).

Go on over to here (-929 43 -4516) and you'll trigger the spawning in of an NPC holding The Shiar's Maddening Clock named "Bulbo" (a reference to the late "Lord of the Clock" quest);


Get a bit closer to him, and get to around here (-941 44 -4517). Now you'll want to right click on him. There'll be a bit of dialogue, then you'll be in possession of the Shiar's Maddening Clock;

Spoiler: Efilim's Busted Clock

Prerequisites: None.
(You won't need any items before this to obtain Efilim's Busted Clock).

Thank you to @Diamond_Laser for helping me find this one.

First you'll want to go on over to around here (-1071 42 -5020) in Efilim. There will be a big mushroom in the center with smaller decorated one block red and brown mushrooms going up the giant mushroom tree thing;


Go over to the red mushroom at the base of the giant mushroom tree thing over around here (-1075 45 -5017) and stand on it. Doing so will make it push you up allowing you to reach the next (brown this time) mushroom;


Keep on using the alternating brown and red mushrooms to boost you up until you reach the top of the giant mushroom tree thing at around here (-1077 75 -5011) after ascending up two brown and two red mushrooms. Up at the top there will be Efilim's Busted Clock, now just kill it and grab the item;

Spoiler: Aldorei's Defective Clock

Prerequisites: None.
(You won't need any items before this to obtain Aldorei's Defective Clock).

Now sit tight, this one will be long.

First off you want to head around to near the entrance to Aldorei Valley outskirts around here (-838 43 -4551) and enter into the outskirts;


Next you'll want to get a bit deeper into the outskirts and continue through this gate around here (-685 98 -4425) and then carry on to right near the Aldorei Valley proper gate;


In this section of the outskirts there'll be a large building that you want to go up the stairs and enter from around right here and enter the building (-515 112 -4425);


Upon entering the building and hooking a left there will be a green arrow above some stone slabs stating "Click to go Up" around here (-537 123 -4399). Stand on the slabs, right click the arrow, and you'll be brought up to the second floor of the building;


After getting to the second floor you're going to get off the elevator around here here (-536 149 -4397) and go through the nearby door;


You'll then be met with a main hall area, go through the first door on your left around here (-545 150 -4389);


Inside you'll find an Elf NPC named "Aldorei Student" at around here (-539 150 -4385), you want to right click on them and talk to them;


You'll then want to go through the door in this room leading to the adjacent room around here (-535 150 -4378) (this image is broken and I cannot fix it);


In this room there will be a ladder leading up some bookshelf levels around here (-538 150 -4362) (this image is broken and I cannot fix it);


Taking the ladder up to the third floor you'll find the first document at around here (-533 158 -4364), you'll then want to right click on the document and it'll go into your inventory (this image is broken and I cannot fix it);


Heading back down to the first floor and through the doors on your left back into the main hall you'll find another door on the other side of the hall at around here (-571 150 -4378), you'll then want to go through this door and directly through the next one beyond it also seen in this photo (this image is broken and I cannot fix it);


After going through both of these doors you'll find yourself in a room with a table and the second document at around here (-591 151 -4376), right click this one as well and you'll obtain it;


Next, you'll head back out into the main hall and make your way to a doorway at around here (-558 150 -4393), make your way through it onto an outdoor section of the building;


Going left after going through this door will lead you to the third and last document at around here (-564 150 -4400), once again you have to right click it and it'll go into your inventory;


From here you'll want to go back to the Aldorei Student and right click on them. After a bit of dialouge they'll give you Aldorei's Defective clock.

Spoiler: Cinfras' Abandoned Clock

Prerequisites: None.
(You won't need any items before this to obtain Cinfras' Defective Clock).

First what you'll want to do for Cinfras' Defective Clock you'll want to go over to around here (-410 47 -4864) in Cinfras. Here will be a mob called "Basement Key", kill it and grab the key that it drops;


Next you want to go over to around here (-450 47 -4870) and enter into this house belonging to the NPC called "Retired Clockmaker". Right clicking on him will give a hint as how to get the key;


Next you want to go over to the stairs to the basement at around here (-464 47 -4865), then you want to go down the stairs and right click on the door while holding the Basement Key in your hand;


Now you'll have access to a basement in this house with a grandfather clock in it at around here (-463 42 -4874). The top part of it will be sparkling green, right click on it and you'll get Cinfras' Defective Clock;

That's all of the clocks so far, hopefully the rest of the content will come soon! When it does I'll make sure to update this.

Hope you found it helpful or neat, I tried to make it as thorough and comprehensive as possible as to make it completely clear on how to get these strange clocks.

 

I made a short list of them all on the hero beta section but it’s now all gone ;-(

I was also ready to jump in with the two clocks I found until I saw that you already have them all.

Actually, I might’ve lied a bit, would you happen to know where the Lexdale one is? I’ve searched everywhere for it.

 

it's not in lexdale anymore

 

I’ve only found the gelibord and olux sorry

 

Well what I mean by that is I’ve also searched the surrounding area pretty extensively (for 3 hours almost), so it must be hidden well

the Shiar has a clock, it is given by Bulbo, who is standing outside of one of the houses.
Cinfras's clock is in a basement of a clock shop in the south side of town, on the main road. you need a basement key from the market area in the southeast block.

 

I already knew those two, I was trying to go in level scaling and everything came to a screeching halt when I got to the now gone Lexdale clock for 3 hours. Thank you, though.

 

Lexdale clock moved to Efilim and is hidden up in the mushroom tree in the lake
