Some IDs on items have asterisks (*) next to them. Some people told me this was how close the ID was to the max one, but this is clearly not the case, an example:

    Morph topaz , max ID, with 1 x *
    onestar.png

    Morph topaz , max ID, with 2 x *
    twostar.png

Could anyone tell me please what these * are supposed to represent?

Other stuff people told me, but I'm skeptical about:
    - `This is amount of times this item has been re-rolled`
I don't think this is the case as items with multiple IDs have different amount of * next to their ID

But I still don't understand how a max ID can have a different range of stars???

Stars are meant to represent how "good" the roll was, for example 1 or 2 stars is above average and 3 stars is a perfect roll.

This is why dungeon items don't ever have stars, their IDs are always the same.

For the max ID thing, the ID is always the same, however the game still considers how "good" that roll was, which is why there's a random number of stars.

The * are the TRUE id value, while * is 75%+ ** is 95%+ and ***is 100%, the percentage of geting an id with *** is always 1%. And let's look at the topaz, for example, if u have a 10%*** xp topaz, and when topaz's max xp increased to 100%, the 10%*** one will become 100%*** and your 10%** one will be 95% or something. Sometimes current id will be max even with 75%+ like your topaz, that mean the id is easy to get max, that's all

So it gets rounded? 9.5 % gets rounded to 10%* (or something) while if I had a perfect roll it would be 10%***?

So there's literally no point to this for topaz?

maybe there are 75% chance that to id an 10% xp one, so 10%* even with one *, it is max

it might matter if topaz is buffed/nerfed, back when the max roll was 7 the chance of getting that roll was actually 1%
